The collection contains 19 audiovisual documents about various aspects of the area. Some of these documents relate to Nord-Aski’s involvement in the region, while others concern economic development issues or promote the area’s businesses and attractions. Audiocassettes have all been converted to DVD format.

The store opened in 1984 and had locations on Bay St. and Court Street, before having to close its physical location in 2016.

The Marsh Store was a community hub for Coldstream and Lobo Township. There are eight series. These include store records, sawmill and gristmill records, and woollen mill records. Other businesses that operated out of there were: the Coldstream Telephone Company ; Lobo Mutual Fire Insurance; and the Great Western Railway and Telegraph Company. Of special interest are the magazines and books located in the Public Library collection which also operated out of the Marsh Store. Jacob Marsh was also involved with the local council which also operated from his store.

Tavistock Milling Company LimitedFonds consists of three record books. Two of these are ledgers that date from the period that Thomas was the manager of Consolidated Optical Co. They offer a rare glimpse of daily operations of a Canadian instrument making firm. The ledgers have records of purchases, contacts, receipts, and materials dating from 1914 to 1920. The other record book is a surveying class notebook that is undated.

Audio-visual materials include masters, submasters, field tapes and elements of productions created for clients by Creative Services and Lockwood Films. Contents include films, videos, audio tapes, CDs and DVDs related to: marketing and promotion of products, services, companies and not-for-profit organizations; internal corporate communications including annual meetings, seminars and internal instruction; training and education; television shows; documentaries; demonstrations for potential clients and stock footage created by Lockwood Films for internal use. Graphic materials include photographs, slides and negatives of Lockwood people and external projects.

A rich deposit of silver was discovered on Silver Islet in 1868. A small island at the tip of the Sibley Peninsula, the mine was built deep below the waterline, and relied on breakwaters and pumps. Silver Islet was mined until 1884, when pumps failed, and the mine was flooded. The small community built on shore to support the mine is still inhabited.

Personal correspondence to Davies’ brother, other family members and friends, business-related correspondence with agricultural journals, and research relating to agricultural journals are included.
