The fonds consists of 12 letters written by Alexander McPherson to members of his family, including his mother and his brother-in-law. The majority of the letters were written while he held the position of Manager at Plantation Nos. 17 & 18 in Berbice, British Guiana and the remainder represent the period following when he settled at Whitby.

The letters show that Edith travelled frequently from the Gross family home at 200 Colborne Street West in Whitby to visit relatives and friends in other communities. Subjects of discussion include parties, family, travel, and daily life. Fonds also consists of a copy of The Greatest Thing in The World, An Address by Henry Drummond.

Fonds consists of the records relating to the administration and operation of the Brooklin Council No. 102 of the Royal Templars of Temperance. Series are broken down into administrative, financial, membership, and ceremonial records.

Series includes audit reports, a cash book (1886-1893), a dues record book (1886-1892), dues assessment notices, receipts, and a small bit of correspondence pertaining to the organization’s donations to the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children charity.

Series consists of 4 notebooks belonging to Russell O. Bailey. The notebooks were created during his employment at the King Brothers Tannery and contain tanning recipes and accounts.

Fonds consists of six scrapbooks pertaining to the 1957-58 season for the Whitby Dunlops hockey team. Scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings, magazine articles, and some handwritten observations by Ken. Scrapbook five follows the team's 1958 trip to Oslo, Norway to compete in the World Ice Hockey Championship which they go on to would win. Each scrapbook contains a table of contents at the beginning.

Series consists of a variety of photographs of the Whitby Dunlops, including professional game and team photos. There is a set of 11 images showing the team at the Whitby Arena after winning the Alan Cup in 1957. They were taken by a young fan called Cliff Godridge. There is also a set of photographic postcards from locations in Norway from the European tour in 1958. The series also contains professional photos of Harry Sinden as well as photos from the estate of Bus Gagnon.
