The fonds contains records related to the life and family of Dr. Florence Marguerite Hill.

Material within the fonds specifically includes photographs of the Hill family dating back to the 1880s, school records and awards from F. M. Hill's time as a student at North Toronto Collegiate Institute from (1932-1936), school records from the University of Toronto related to her completion of a Masters of Arts degree in Psychology in 1941 and a Doctorate of Medicine degree in 1952. The fonds also contains records and photographs related to F.M. Hill’s military career in the Canadian Women’s Army Corps at home and overseas during the Second World War and also her medical career at Women's College Hospital. Some material relates to the Dr. F. M. Hill Honorary Trust Fund, F. M. Hill Chair in Academic Medicine and the annual F.M. Hill Lecture. The fonds also includes various awards presented to Dr. Hill throughout her career.

The fonds includes a variety of professional portraits of F. M. Hill taken throughout her life, her military medals, Faculty of Medicine Class of 1952 gold medal from the University of Toronto, graduation photographs, military medals and photographs, Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee medal, Order of Canada medal and Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee medal.
