The fonds consists six letters to C.T. Atkinson, 1926-1930, regarding the publication of his book. There is one page of holograph notes, perhaps by a reviewer, news clippings of book reviews, and a publisher's circular for 1926 which does not list Atkinson's book. There are also two post cards.

The fonds consists of a bound manuscript containing a sermon Arnet preached titled "A sermon, preach'd at Wakefield, at the visitation held there, by the Reverend Mr. Hayter, Archdeacon of York June, 30, 1732". The pages are numbered [1], 2-56. It is bound together with a letter to Philip Fruchard by Arnet, 12 July 1742, 2 p., introducing the sermon and making note of their friendship. Mr. Fruchard was a London merchant.

The fonds consists of a bound volume containing six manuscripts by Moir. They are: The bride of Lochleven, 21 p.; The lunatic of love. A fragment., 16 p.; The Norman captive, 17 p.; The Revenge of Sir Edmund, 19 p.; Isabelle or the maid of Damascus. A Syrian tale, 29 p.; The exile of Novogorod, 76 p. Three different hands appear to have been used. Different paper was used for the last manuscript. Stamped on the front cover is the delta symbol (Δ). Stamped on the back cover are the initials of his wife: C.E.M. 1852. Written inside the front cover is the inscription: Jane Moir from her mother, July 1853. An unknown hand at a later date has annotated each manuscript with its publication history or lack thereof.

The fonds consists of his notebook titled "Royal Air Force Note Book for Workshop and Laboratory Records", dated 10 April 1940. It contains his notes on tools, carpentry, airplane construction, and hydraulics, as well as many diagrams, and is 112 pages in length.

Oswald Mosley fonds

The fonds consists of a bound manuscript, 234 pages in length, containing prayers appropriate for different occasions, times of day, Sabbath prayers, and so on. There is an index on the inside front and back covers. Also written on the inside cover is: This book of devotions in the handwriting of Oswald Mosley, Esq. (father of the first Sir Oswald) who died A.D. 1726 in the 87th year of his age. Oswald Mosley." Pasted on the inside front cover is a bookplate containing the Mosley family coat of arms, with the family motto "Mos Legem Regit" followed by "Sir Oswald Mosley Bart., Rolleston House". Stamped on spine is "Prayers Mss."

Richard Nisbet fonds

The fonds consists of a bound manuscript titled "Richard Nisbet's navigation book". His coat of arms and motto with his initials underneath is pasted into the back front cover. Also pasted in is a note indicating that the manuscript had been bound by T. Hookham of New Bond Street [London]. The front cover has the word "Navigation" embossed in gold. The manuscript contains 177 pages of text with diagrams, some of which have been coloured. A sea chart has been tipped in just before the section on mercator sailing. The manuscript is divided into sections: definitions and problems of geometry : plain trigonometry right angled : mariner's compass : plane sailing : traverse sailing : parallel sailing : middle latitude sailing : mercator sailing: a journal of a voyage from England towards Madeira : to find the latitude by double attitudes of the sun : to find the variation of the compass by an amplitude : to find the variation of the compass by an azimuth : nautical and geographical definitions : oblique sailing.

The fonds consists of the log of H.M.S. Amethyst, covering the period 9 November 1859 to 22 December 1860. It contains 93 pages of text, drawings, and maps which are listed below. The log begins with the ship at anchor at Mazatlan, Mexico. On 21 June the ship leaves Mexico for Panama, and proceeds on to Valparaiso, Chile, and then Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The ship then returns home to England, arriving at Plymouth, and then going on to Margarte, and finally Chatham. The final entry in the log is: "put ship out of commission". The fonds consists of a bound manuscript, 48 pages in length, titled "A tour through part of Switzerland and the glaciers of Savoy & Berne in a letter to Richard Cox Esq." The manuscript is not dated . The date range has been assigned by references in the text. The trip took place after the death of Voltaire in 1778 but before the climbing of Mont Blanc which occurred in 1786. The manuscript is signed by Ralph Sheldon.

The fonds consists of a diary and typescript of the diary transcribed by Dr. Norman Shrive. Passages within the diary include “Sunshine and Storm by a Rifleman,1870” and a brief passage entitled “Journey through Persia and other Eastern countries,” written by Corporals R. Murphy and J. Kenderick. Murphy and Kenderick are identified as serving with the 100th Royal Rifles. The diary also contains personal information about Snelling, including family health and business prosperity. There is a page of business transactions from 1873.

Wallace Brett fonds

The fonds consists of fourteen letters and envelopes written by Brett to his sister Esther. Esther resided in Toronto. Brett’s letters told his sister about the correspondence he was receiving, the individuals from home he was encountering and some of the details of his day-to-day activities both in England where he was drilling and shoveling coal, to his time on the battlefields in France. One letter was written while he was in hospital in Shorncliffe.

William Fingland fonds

This fonds consists of 111 letters, the majority of which were written by Fingland to his sweetheart, Etta. There are a few responses from Etta to William. The letters combine Fingland’s feelings for Etta with his descriptions of life on the battlefront and his struggle to do the work of the YMCA. He speaks about his travels through the countryside while on leave. There is a wedding invitation announcing the couple’s nuptials in August 1920. A photograph-postcard of a group of soldiers is included in this fonds. Fingland is not identified in the photograph.

The fonds consists of ten letters written by Millen to his wife, Helen Ethel Millen. The letters outline the day-to-day activities Millen participated in. A letter written in July 1918 comments on the arrival of the “Yankee” troops. A letter written 6 September 1918 provides details of Millen’s involvement with the battles along the Hindenburg Line on 2 and 3 September 1918.

The correspondence concerns the formation of the Toronto chapter, highlights some of the activities of the Vancouver chapter, including an expulsion, and discusses the distribution of literature, particularly information about the plight of workers in Portugal. Relationships between British, Irish, Australian, American and Canadian chapters and their beliefs are outlined. Correspondents include Jeff Rose, Kit Lyons and Merry Philbin. Don Lake’s early contact name in correspondence was David Gordon.
