Collection consists of sheet music for the following songs: “That’s an Order from the Army”, “Fernando the Commando”, “We’re Marching to the Rhythm of the Boogie Beat”, and “On Behalf of the General Staff.” The words and music were written by Frank Shuster, Johnny Wayne, and Freddy Grant. The music was written for the Army Show, a musical revue for Canadian soldiers during the Second World War. Later, the term would be used as the operational name for entertainment units in the army. The Army Show also produced a radio broadcast of the same name from 1942-1943.

Caven, RaymondSeries consists of articles, notes, government publications and other documents compiled by Jean Pariseau pertaining mainly to Canadian military history from its origins to the later 1980’s. The documents include information on the Canadian military, more precisely on the RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force), on Canada’s role in the First and Second World War, the Korean War, Canada’s membership of the UN and NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) and other significant milestones in Canada’s military history. Also includes photographs of Canadian was correspondents from the Second World War.

Series consists of reports, topographic maps and correspondence from reconnaissance missions during Operation Recuperation, notably aerial reconnaissance missions. These missions were carried out largely to survey damage caused by the ice storm such as downed power lines.

Fonds consists of general material relating to James Megill’s research into the history of the Canadian Military Engineers (CME). The fonds includes notes, skeleton histories, and some statistical information for many Canadian military engineering units. It also includes some personal correspondence re the preparations and work on The History of the Canadian Military Engineers: volume III. There is also some professional documentation such as contracts for work and a resume. Additionally, the fonds includes documents relating to various unit-specific matters such as the appointments of honorary colonels as well as documentation, in some cases photographic, of various events including a bridge construction or a proposition for land acquisition.
Megill, JamesFonds consists of seven 35mm microfilm reels containing copies of measured engineering drawings showing the basic hull and deck constructions as well as mechanical and electrical systems of the HMCS Rainbow II, formerly the USS Argonaut. The first microfilm serves as an index for the other six reels. The microfilmed plans and drawings consist of the submarine’s original design prior to her Guppy II configuration in 1952.
