Fonds consists of the records of Alfred S. Carter. Fonds predominantly contains manuscripts of Carter's writings, entitled: A Pioneer's Reminiscence of the Great Lakes; The Three Natural Outlets to Tidewater, The Great Lakes, The Hudson's Bay and the Pacific Outlet; and The Three Natural Outlets to Tidewater for the Last Great West's Inexhaustible Natural Resources. References made include: Great Lakes shipping; tugboats; the Fenian Raids; the Welland Canal; a gale force storm; Port Colborne and growing up in Port Colborne. Fonds also contains letters of transmission to E.W. Beattie of Montreal and to Carter's sister, Clara.

Fonds consists of Sidney Barnett’s personal correspondence, records relating to the local militia, business records relating to the Niagara Falls Museum and travels in Latin America, and other records. Personal correspondence contains letters from Sidney Barnett in South America to his wife in Niagara Falls, and letters from Minnie Barnett in South America. Militia records include copies of Militia General Orders, copies of militia forms (including pay lists, rules and regulations, service, rolls, quarterly returns, acquittance rolls, parade reports, returns of officers, recommendations for appointment, billet receipts, and general orders), copies of revisions of the Militia Act from 1864 to 1867, correspondence (regarding fortifications and defence, and regarding Battalion affairs). Business correspondence relates to the Niagara Falls Museum and to Sidney Barnetts’ business ventures in Latin America. John Linton fonds

These papers include textual and graphic materials created and collected by the Reverend John Linton in the course of his career as a Baptist minister and temperance activist. The fonds include records of a number of temperance organizations collected by Linton as a result of his research and commitment to preserving a historical record of the movement. Included are records of the Dominion Alliance for the Total Suppression of the Liquor Traffic, the Royal Templars of Temperance, and various federal, provincial, municipal and denominational temperance organizations. The photographs depict conferences and individuals in the post-prohibition temperance movement, while the posters and cartoons visually document different appeals and approaches used in anti-alcohol advertising and editorializing, both before and after prohibition. The fonds is arranged into five series based on format: General Files, Printed Matter, Photographs; Posters, Editorial Cartoons.
