Item is a printer's proof of poster for Garden Hill Methodist Church's 5th anniversary. The Garden Hill Methodist Church celebrated its 5th anniversary on October 5 and 6, 1883. Sunday Sermon by Revs. W. H. Jamieson and R. G. Copeland. Monday concert with music, readings and recitations by Miss Annie Howden of Millbrook, Mr. W. H. Parsons and Miss Dickson of Port Hope. Item is printer's proof of poster "25 Mar 15/86" written at bottom in pencil. Concert to aid Organ Fund was held March 23, 1886. Vocal and Instrumental Music, Reading, Recitations, Dialogues, etc. Concert included: Misses Hawthorn of Zion; Miss Mabel Sheehy, Miss L. E. Armstrong and Mr Vance, Port Hope; Mr and Mrs Callender, J. H. Dyer, J. C. Thorton, Garden Hill; Miss L & C Boyd; Revs. D. Balfour, W. H. Jamieson, MA and J. Smith.

Item is an 1871 Wesleyan hymnal inscribed to "E. W. Barrowclough, Wesleyville, Ontario August 10th, 1877". Two notes taped in front; Embossed stamp "Moulton & Long Wholesale & Retail Music Dealers Port Hope, Ont." Hymnal may have belonged to Elijah Barrowclough (1853-1938) of Wesleyville. Buried at Wesleyville United Cemetery.

Item is a cookbook entitled "The Mixing Bowl." It was printed in 1931 as a fundraiser for St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. The booklet is 40 pages long and contains recipes and advertising from local Port Hope businesses.

File consists of a letter to the Rev. C. H. Boulden, Rector, St. Mark's Church, Port Hope from the Right Honourable Vincent Massey, 5 Feb 1952. The letter is in response to a letter of congratulations received by Vincent Massey from the congregation of St. Mark's Church. Signed by Vincent Massey. This letter is reproduced on page 89 of "Time Was." Details for the reproduction are written on the back of the letter. Also, "Ceremony of the Trooping of the Colour by the Governor-General's Foot Guards" 1 Jul 1954.

Series consists of correspondence, notes and invoices related to the Fulford family, and Fulford Bros. Dry Goods in Port Hope, c1907-1975. It includes: correspondence and financial information regarding the campaign for a missionary trip lead by the Methodist Church, and addressed to Harold Fulford; blank invoices from Fulford Bros.; and a hand-written description of Ted Fulford's military service during World War II.

Item is the Powe Family Bible, 1847-1889. The bible originally belonged to Robert Powe and Catherine Parsons, natives of Bideford, Devon, England. Family births and deaths are recorded on the last page of the Bible. Entries between 1847 and 1889. Notes written in pencil on the last page show the last entry is regarding the death of William Parsons Powe who died 15 Sep 1916.
