Nash, EdwinItem is a Journal / ledger of the day to day activities on the farm and financial information from Jan. 1, 1907 - Sept. 29, 1910. Across the top of each page is "Balance on Hand" and 2 columns on the right hand side indicate the credits and payments made. - near the front of the book are two names in writing, Henry S. Haskill and Sanford W. Haskill (Sanford Watts was the son of Josiah Haskill, the handwriting matches with the previous journal /ledger and is that of Sanford's) - the book has a total of 300 pages; 162 contain the day to day activities and credit / debit amounts ending Sept. 13, 1910. Page 163 has a list from "Sale Sept. 29th, 1910" indicating the items that had sold and those that remained "unsold" - the front cover lists marriages and deaths in1907 Nathaniel Haskill and his wife Abigail (Sawyer) with 7 children made their way to Smith's Creek from Massachusetts about 1795. They were part of the 187 settlers brought in by Elias Smith, J. Walton and A. Walton. The Haskills were farmers and distillers by trade for several generations.

Item is a poster originally pasted on the back the handwritten words of what the poster was to read in regards to the stolen animal. The poster was commissioned by William Berry, 3rd Concession of Hope Township. Comments on poster indicate that 50 were printed and the cost was $1.50. This piece is believed to be a printer's proof.
Item is a handwritten invoice for Mr. Albt. Ball, dated June 9th 1873 for services from Dr. J. S. Ceaser, V.S. Invoice shows services and costs. The invoice includes services from 1872. Albert Ball lived in Hope Township.
Item is a handwritten letter discussing a large number of deaths and the procession in Toronto. Letter is dated July 5, 1866. The author of the letter is A. P. Rice, writing from B. A. Cottage, Toronto, C. W. and speaks also of his studies in Toronto. References in letter are made to "F. Little" and "Elijah" (believed to be Elijah Rice 1843-1920).

Two notes taped in front; Embossed stamp "Moulton & Long Wholesale & Retail Music Dealers Port Hope, Ont." Hymnal may have belonged to Elijah Barrowclough (1853-1938) of Wesleyville. Buried at Wesleyville United Cemetery.

Item is a 30th Anniversary Programme created for the Beaver Athletic Association (BAA) by Dave Doherty. Dave has signed the booklet to Tom on the front cover. Programme reviews the history of the BAA in Port Hope and was released during the Young Canada Day Weekend February 8-9, 1980. Primarily a photographic history of the BAA, most of the photographs have been identified. Also contains local advertising. Removed from Long Cabinets "Sports Teams."
