Specifically, the documents relate to personnel in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps (RCASC); service personnel in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps (RCAMC); call out of troops; personnel discipline (including court martials); documentation and records; enrolment and recruiting (including exemptions); employment of reserves; estates; identification; leave and furlough; manpower; pensions; reinforcements; service personnel releases; personnel welfare (including the Salvation Army); strength returns (Canadian Army Active Service Force); and civilian personnel.

The published documents include treaty series including treaties and international engagements registered with the Secretariat of the League of Nations, Reports of the International Law Commission, Security Council, Resolutions and Decisions of the General Assembly and Secretariat records. Also contains records concerning the United Nations Emerging Force, the Special Committees on peacekeeping operations and the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF). Series also includes: United Nations documents relating to humanitarian issues, human rights, peacekeeping preparations and finances; press releases; magazines articles; and newspaper clippings.

Series consists of records related to NATO meetings held in Greece, Koblenez, and NATO Headquarters in Brussels in June, October, and November (respectfully) in 1993. The material from these meetings consists of discussion papers concerning NATO and peacekeeping, as well as a few press releases. The aide-memoire and material from course eighty-three, taught at the NATO Defence College in Rome, Italy, in November of 1993, is also contained in this series.

Series consists of records related to peacekeeping collected by Alan James and organized chronologically. The records include newspaper clippings, papers, handwritten notes, correspondence, United Nations (UN) documents, and newsletters. The mains subjects are nuclear arms in North Korea and United Nations peacekeeping operations in Africa, the Middle East and the former Yugoslavia.

Series consists of records relating to peacekeeping in five European countries from 1950 to 1998. These include general records for peacekeeping in Britain in the 1950s and 1960s, Cyprus, from 1964 to 1993, and Yugoslavia, Bosnia, and Herzegovina from 1991 to 1998. Also includes records for the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) and the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP). The majority of the records consist of United Nations documents and newspaper clippings.

Series consists of the papers of Major-General Bruce MacDonald, which describe his involvement in the 1965-1966 United Nations India-Pakistan Observation Mission (UNIPOM). Originally intended to be published, the book was never completed. There are also series records relating to the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) from 1971 to 1998. Shafqat Hussain Chauhdry’s thesis for a Doctorate of Philosophy degree entitled United Nations India-Pakistan Observation Mission (UNIPOM), 1965-1966), published in 1979, is also included in the series.

Series consists of newspaper clippings, United Nations documents, and press releases of the Sri Lankian government, the majority of which concern the Tamil Eelam separatist movement. There are also various addresses and published works of Sri Lanakian Presidents J.R. Jayewardene and R Premadasa., President and Prime Mininser (respectively) of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

Series consists of 10 newspaper clippings from The Times concerning the resignation of Alexander Haig, the American Secretary of State in 1982. Reasons were not given for the resignation, although it was indicated that a succession of disputes over matters of key policy was the reason. Also includes a profile of the Secretary of State-Designate, George Shultz.

Series consists of a lecture delivered by Lester B. Pearson while he was Prime Minister of Canada, in the DAG Hammarskjöld Memorial Series at Carleton University on the 7 May 1964. The title is “Keeping the Peace” and reviews developments in the field of United Nations peace-keeping. Also includes a copy of a paper “Guidance on types of forces Canada can most readily provide for use when dealing with requests for support of the United Nations”.

Series consists of records related to the writing of Alan James’ book Keeping the Peace in the Cyprus Crisis 1963-1964 published in 2001. Includes photocopies of records from the Public Record Office (PRO), United Nations documents and National Archives of Canada (NAC) documents for the writing of the book. Also included in this series are newspaper clippings, photocopies, information on the United Nations Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP), papers, publications and articles written by Alan James and various authors and a photocopy of Keeping the Peace in the Cyprus Crisis 1963-1964. Also includes PhD and Master theses of Cyprus.

Fonds consists of photocopied correspondence of members of Joan Graham's and her husband's families during the South African War of 1887 to 1978, the First World War, and the Second World War, as well as miscellaneous personal documents from 1887 up to 1978. The Boer war letters are between Charles Graham and his wife and their son Douglas Graham to his mother. The First World War letters are between Charlie Graham and his mother, and between Alistair Smales and his own mother. The Second World War letters are between Joan and Chris Bartlett. The letters are sorted by family name, by war period, and by date within each period. The miscellaneous documents are grouped by family name, and include letters, receipts, newspaper clippings, birth and death certificates and other papers. In regards to arrangement, the first folder is divided into 4 files:
1- Graham family Boer War letters,
2- Graham family 1st World War letters,
3- Smales family 1st World War letters,
4- Bartlett family 2nd World War letters. The second folder consists of Graham and Smales family miscellaneous documents.

Fonds consists of Director General Audit (DGA) reports for 1958-1970 and Audit circular letters for 1948-1969. The first folder contains two papers presented at the RCAF Senior Accountant Officer's Course on Financial Management, the Director General Audit annual report for 1977/78, reports from the Director of Audit for 1966/67 and 1967/68, and reports from the Directorate of Operational Audit for 1966/67, 1968/69, 1969/70, Directorate of Audit reports for 1965/66 and Chief Auditor Branch reports for 1962/63, 1963/64, 1964/65, 1956/57, 1957/58, 1958/59, 1959/60, and 1960/61. The second, third and fourth folders contain the Audit circular letters.

Series consists of a draft manuscript by Robert H. Farquharson entitled “For your Tomorrow: Canadians in the Burma Campaign, 1941-1945.” The manuscript explores the causes of the Burma war, and discusses the significant role Canada and Canadians played in it. Between 7000 and 8000 Canadians served in Burma during the Second World War, five hundred of which were killed. The series also includes a newsletter produced by the 435-436 Burma Squadrons Association, called the “Pukkha Gen” (vol. 36, no. 2, Nov 2007). The newsletter has an account of a squadron reunion and stories from squadron members.

Fonds consists of documentation concerning the three commissions in which Charles H. Belzile took part. The documentation is made up of presentations, briefs, reports, and sometimes opinions from various sources including academic specialists, persons from all levels of the military, and in some cases, the general public. Personal and internal correspondence is included, along with general administrative and miscellaneous papers. There are three series in this fonds, divided by commission:

II. Special Advisory Group in Military Justice and Military Police Investigation Services (1997)
III. Military Police Services Review (MPSR) (1998)

eries III consists of volumes containing documentation received from various sources for consideration by the Military Police Services Review in 1998. Includes presentations, briefs, correspondence, guideline and policy books, reports and papers, minutes of meetings, and extracts from books. The result of the review was drafts of the new policy: “Canadian Forces Military Police Policies and Procedures,” which is included in this series. Various papers produced by the review committee include: working papers, correspondence, schedules and calendars, and general administrative paperwork.

Fonds consists of a work prepared by J.F. Cummins in 1931 on the histories of the military districts of Canada. The research covers military history from 1760 to 1930. There are 4 volumes:

Fonds consists of textual and pictorial items collected by Earle G. Dolbel during his stay at Marlag und Milag Nord prison camp from 1941 to 1945. There is a scrapbook and a personal journal. The scrapbook contains drawings, news clipping, label stickers, poems, photographs from home, and contributions from his fellow prisoners; it pays particular attention to the recreational activities and musical theatre productions in the camp. The journal, which covers the time between his capture and his return to Canada, explains more of Mr. Dolbel's routine in the camp. He writes about weather, rations, going to service, and hearing air raids outside. The highlights for Mr. Dolbel came whenever he received mail from his family and packages from the Red Cross. Fonds also contains a copy of the journal made in 1979 by one of his children, and an Imperial Oil magazine from 1988.
