Rotaract Club of KapuskasingThe Entertainment Department fonds, RG 10, is arranged and described at the series level, with an accompanying file list. The fonds consists of a single series: Subject Files (RG 10-0-1).
Textual records in the fonds consist of correspondence, reports, contracts, schedules, minutes, charts and policies related to the Entertainment Department staff, musicians, performers and other entertainers, competition contestants, and CNE visitors. Graphic and printed materials include photographs of dancers, parades and parade floats, costumed characters, music and dance competitions, and other events coordinated by the Entertainment Department, as well as pamphlets and brochures.
Few documents exist for the years 1952-1980 (for further records from this time period, see RG 10-2, Music Department fonds). No records exist for the year 1984. When the CNE became independent in 2013, they retained their administrative and operational records from that year. Those records, and any new records created after that date, are the property of the CNE and are stored in the CNE offices or the CNE Archives. As a result, only one further accrual is expected for RG 10 for the records created between 2000 and 2012, which still fall under the retention schedule as of 2018.
Entertainment DepartmentThe Music Department fonds, RG 10-2, is arranged and described at the series level, with an accompanying file list. The fonds consists of two series: Jack Arthur files (RG 10-2-1) and Subject Files (RG 10-2-2).
Textual records in the fonds consist of correspondence, reports, schedules, minutes, and publicity material related to the Music Department and Grandstand show staff, musicians, performers and other entertainers, competition contestants, and CNE visitors. Graphic and printed materials include photographs of dancers, performer headshots, and other events coordinated by the Music Department, as well as sheet music from the 1953 Grandstand show.
Few documents exist for the years 1960, 1962, 1973, and 1981. No records exist for the years 1954 to 1956, 1959, and 1963 to 1972.
Music DepartmentSeries consists of amateur and professional photographs taken and accumulated by Jean Augustine during her personal and professional life in Canada. This series documents Augustine's personal and family life in Grenada and Canada from the 1940s through to 2005, including her emigration to Canada, her social activities as a young woman in Toronto, her life as a young mother, social activist, teacher and student. Photographs also document her early involvement in the 1970s and 1980s in community movements, cultural events, social justice and political organizations, as well as her professional career as an elementary school teacher and principal in the Metropolitan Separate School Board, her activities as part of Premier David Peterson's 'transition team' in 1985 and her work as chair of the Metro Toronto Housing Authority. Events documented include the election campaign of American politician Jesse Jackson, the earliest celebrations of the Caribana parade in Toronto, women's rights events and protests, and local Black History Month celebrations. Photographs also document Augustine's activities as a federal politician, including her activities on Parliament Hill, her administration of federal committees and the Secretariats of Multiculturalism (later Multiculturalism and Status of Women), as well as her election campaigns (including door-to-door campaigning; fund raising; speeches; debates and promotion), and local activities (including celebrations at her constituency office; round table discussions and meetings with community organizations; annual Christmas parties; summer picnics; community celebrations; banquets; and Remembrance Day ceremonies). Photographs also document Augustine's extensive travel overseas in the Caribbean, the United States, South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Asia, Central Asia and the Far East, both in her official capacity as a politician and cabinet member, and as a tourist and traveller.
Augustine, JeanSeries consists of records created and accumulated by Marilou McPhedran while executive coordinator of York University's National Network on Environments and Women's Health (NNEWH) from 2001 to 2003. The records in this series document McPhedran's participation in a number of NNEWH's initiatives, particularly the preparation of a report titled "Rural and remote women's health : research and policy directions" and the organization of conferences, focus groups and research pertaining to that project. Also included in this series are records pertaining to McPhedran's administrative work for NNEWH and her management of work plans, budgets, and personnel. Some of these records relate to McPhedran's departure from NNEWH in 2003. Files in this series include reports, pamphlets, journal articles, correspondence, financial statements, memoranda, minutes, work plans, agendas, newspaper clippings, conference materials, and presentation slides (paper version).
Series consists of posters and certificates accumulated by Marilou McPhedran from the mid-1980s to the mid-2000s. These items pertain to events in which she participated or events held by organizations with which she was involved, including LEAF, the International Women's Rights Project, and the Task Force on the Sexual Abuse of Patients, as well as items related to McPhedran's interests, such as international women's rights. Also included in this series are McPhedran's 1985 Order of Canada certificate and her 2004 Master of Laws diploma.

West Hastings Agricultural SocietyFonds consists of records pertaining to the Canadian Red Cross including documents surrounding the development of a Canadian Branch of the British Red Cross Society with advice from the American Red Cross Society. One series contains letters that were addressed to Colonel W.N. Ponton, mainly from the National Society for Aid and Sick to the Wounded in War (later the British Red Cross), 1895-1934. Another file contains letters to Miss E. C. Gordon as she attempted to develop an independent Canadian Red Cross, including those from the American National Red Cross signed by Clara Barton. The final folder contains a series of ephemera pieces issued by the organization throughout its history as well as two stamps promoting Canadian War Bonds.
