Bruce Pittman fonds

The fonds consists of material that documents Pittman's work in film and television and includes scripts, storyboards, correspondence, financial records, publicity material, shooting schedules, edit sheets, research material, grant applications and other related material. It includes photographs taken during the production of a number of his films and audio-visual records in various formats that document the various stages in the making of film and television productions with which Pittman was involved. There is considerable material relating in particular to "Shattered City". The fonds also includes a series of audio recordings of interviews conducted by Pittman for "Saturday Night at the Movies" with film directors including Bernardo Bertolucci, Robert Altman, and Norman McLaren among others.

Fonds consists of material that documents Feldbrill's personal and professional life and includes correspondence from friends, family and colleagues, including letters from Murray Adaskin, Sir Ernest MacMillan, Harry Somers, John Weinzweig and others, fan mail, programmes, pamphlets, newspaper and magazine articles related to his work as a violinist and/or conductor, contracts and biographical material. In addition, it includes a series of scrapbooks maintained by Feldbrill that documents his professional career from 1940 to the present day. There is considerable correspondence between Feldbrill and his wife Zelda Mann that documents their courtship, the couple's life together, and descriptions of Feldbrill's travels. There is a substantial amount of material related to his performances with the Toronto and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestras and to the years he spent working and teaching in Japan.

The Music Gallery Concert Series (1978-1993) comprises sound recordings of approximately 65 concerts per year and has involved a wide variety of local and international performers/composers, including all varieties of new music, electroacoustics, world, and jazz. Supporting documentation includes program information, posters, reviews, and photographs. The fonds consists also of financial statements, season reports, contracts, sales reports, publicity material including press release, programs, media contact lists, clippings, photographs and other material related to the activities and the performances of The Music Gallery.
