Fonds consists of several issues, from 1983-1997, of the Service Armatis Magazine. The magazine was written to encourage the exchange of ideas, experiences and information within the Administration Branch. There are numerous photographs that are typical of those that would have been used in the magazine showing group photographs, people receiving medals and people involved in recreational activities. Also included are two commemorative books, one for the Service Armatis Magazine from its inception to 1997; and the other concerns the opening of the Brennan Building at CFB Borden on 5 September 1985. There are also two certificates of appreciation; one is to be given to a person upon his retirement from the Logistics Branch and the other to the spouse of a member of this branch.

Fonds consists of 2 files regarding two directorates within the Master General of the Ordnance Branch in 1945: files proceed Directorate of Artillery and Directorate of Electrical and Communications Design. The narrative in the Directorate of Artillery contains 25 pages documenting the functions of the directorate, changes in organization during 1939-1945, relations with the Army in general, other directorates, outside National Defence Headquarters (NDHQ) (Royal Canadian Navy and Royal Canadian Air Force) including other departments of Canada, the British Forces, and US Army. The narrative also includes other topics : breakdown and assignment of duties; liaison with design agencies engaged in the production relating to development projects; and other specific subjects regarding briefing, technical control, difficulties, and recommendations. Two narratives regarding the Directorate of Artillery DA5 Section (Radar) (18 pages) and the Directorate of Electrical and Communications Design (10 pages) cover similar topics.

Fonds consists of volumes 1 and 2 of a Report of the Cold Weather Test Detachment covering the winter of 1942-43. Winterizing requirements applying to all combat and cargo aircraft were issued in August 1942 and Ladd Field was responsible to test those aircraft that were to meet these new requirements. The results of these tests were documented in this two-volume report. The goal of the report was to record the most important features of the cold weather tests, and make recommendations for future test programs as well as future operations of tactical units in Arctic regions. All pertinent problems including winterization are also discussed in it. The Report of the Cold Weather Test Detachment is divided into the following parts: the General Report, Test Aircraft Reports, Miscellaneous Reports, Commercial Representatives' Reports, Laboratory Reports, and Reference Material.

Fonds consists of an unpublished history of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) entitled "the Royal Canadian Air Force in the Arctic and Sub-Arctic" by Edward P. Wood (military officer who received the Distinguished Flying Cross). Provides a record of the activities at the RCAF into Arctic and Sub-Arctic operations done in Canada. Includes photographs of northern airport and military bases, weather charts and maps, various aircraft used in the north and some significant landmark in northern Canada. The document alternates to explain the difficulties and solutions used in expedition undertaken in the Arctic and Sub-Arctic risen, by members of the RCAF. Also contains nine biographies in the annexes.

Fonds consists of technical drawings of Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) ships drawn during the Second World War and reproduced by Douglas B. Munro during the 1980s and 1990s. The names of the ships include: HMCS Annapolis II, HMCS Assiniboine, Fairmile B-Q061, HMCS Fraser II, HMCS Glenside, HMCS Haida, HMCS Prince Robert, and HMCS St. Laurent II. The drawings include starboard and upper deck profiles, along with lines drawings for each ship.

Fond consists of L. A. Catchpole's war diary. Spanning nearly four years, the diary documents his experiences with the 15th Field Battery from commencement to demobilization. Includes newspaper clippings re First World War, and also hand-drawn maps that detail the Battery's occupation throughout France, Belgium, and Germany, with specific mention to battle sites such as Flanders, Ypres, and the Somme. Comprises a detailed personal account of trench warfare, with particular attention paid to artillery (gas shells, high explosives, 'time' shrapnel shelling, etc). Contains extensive information on routine activities of the 15th Battery, such as rations, sleeping quarters, upkeep of horses, and recreation. There are also four pages of typed extracts from the L. A. Catchpole's diary, in which there is a half-page account written by his brother, B. E. Catchpole.

Collection consists of material documenting Joe Boyle's lifetime activities and the repatriation of his remains to Canada from England. Includes a brief biography, newspaper and magazine clippings re his various exploits, and a narrative by Queen Marie of Romania about Boyle's help to her country. Also contains correspondence, notes, and reports of the "Joe Boyle Repatriation Committee", as well as programs detailing Woodstock's Joe Boyle Day, held 28 June, 1983, and the military funeral accorded to Boyle when he was re-interred in Woodstock, Ontario in 1983. Also includes photographs of Boyle in the Klondike and during the First World War, portraits of Boyle and his son, Boyle's original grave site in England and his new grave site and headstone in Woodstock.

These materials detail the Brown's activities, training, operations, air combats, and daily life with the RNAS. Also includes several articles and essays that provide evidence leading to differing conclusions as to who shot down Baron von Richthofen, or the Red Baron.

Collection consists of material documenting Captain Henry John Burden's service with the Royal Flying Corps (RFC) during the First World War. Includes 23 black and white photographs, a copy of H.J. Burden's 1918 diary, a copy of his Pilot's Flying Log Book, and various other documents. The diary records training and daily life in the 75th and 85th Squadrons, as well as activities and air combats of the 56th Squadron. There are further details of the 56th's patrols and special missions in the Pilot's Flying Log Book, including dates, times, types of aircraft, and remarks by H.J. Burden. He also describes various battles in the short narratives that follow his air combat reports. Also includes newspaper articles and biographical pieces about H.J. Burden's life and military service.
