Le fonds est composé d’entrevues et d’un rapport historique. La Série I du fonds est composé d'entrevues avec dix-neuf (19) anciens combattants qui ont tous été, à un certain moment dans leur carrière militaire, membres du Régiment de Maisonneuve.
La Série II du fonds est composé principalement d’un rapport historique, avec annexes, intitulé “Opération Récupération, janvier-février 1998,” produit par Patrick Capolupo pour le Service historique de la Défense nationale. Ce rapport porte sur l’implication des Forces armées canadiennes dans la province de Québec lors de la tempête de verglas de l’hiver 1998 et se veut une étude du degré de collaboration entre civils et militaires.

En plus, on y retrouve un album photo publié intitulé “Débranché - janvier 1998,” une vingtaine de photographies (et leurs négatifs) d’établissements et d’équipement militaires durant la tempête de verglas, une vidéocassette qui consiste d’images démontrant le status des lignes de transmission d’Hydro-Québec en date du 16 janvier 1998, et des commentaires critiques sur le rapport apportés par le Major Michel Litalien de la Direction Histoire et Patrimoine.

Some of the more prominent documents include a statement by the Chief of Defence Staff and a briefing for the Somalia Commission.

Fonds consists of material on the preliminary narrative "Canadian Military Policy in Canada and Adjacent Regions". Includes sixteen chapters, one index and one file of correspondence between the Department of National Defence and the Army Historical Section (including C.P. Stacey) concerning the writing of this narrative. The chapters in this work were compiled by various military historians, including Lieutenant-Colonel. C.F.G. Stanley, J.B. Conacher, Captain T.M. Hunter, Major Wrinch and Major Oglesby. Also includes memoranda between Directorate of History staff to C.P. Stacey regarding answers to various inquiries for verification of military historical information. The last file of the fonds contains a finding aid to the Stacey Papers at the University of Toronto Archives.

Fonds consists of general material relating to James Megill’s research into the history of the Canadian Military Engineers (CME). The fonds includes notes, skeleton histories, and some statistical information for many Canadian military engineering units. It also includes some personal correspondence re the preparations and work on The History of the Canadian Military Engineers: volume III. There is also some professional documentation such as contracts for work and a resume. Additionally, the fonds includes documents relating to various unit-specific matters such as the appointments of honorary colonels as well as documentation, in some cases photographic, of various events including a bridge construction or a proposition for land acquisition.

Fonds consists of Part V of “Reminiscences” written by Dudley Gawen King in 1993, detailing naval operations and his life with the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) during the Second World War’s military campaign Battle of the Atlantic. This book is divided into five sections spanning from 1939 to 1945:

1) 1939 – April 1941 covers his active services in Esquimalt, Prince Rupert, and Halifax.
2) April 1941 – September 1942 consists of his command of HMCS Arvida, and HMCML Q-054. He also details the loss of HMCS Ottawa.
3) September 1942 – May 1943 recounts Arvida’s refit in Lunenburg Nova Scotia, the escorts of Convoy’s SC-101, ON-137, SS Bury, SC-107, and HX-233.
4) May 1943 – March 1944 covers Escort Group C-5 (Fifth Canadian Escort Group), Arvida’s refit in Maryland, and the German Naval Acoustic Torpedo (GNAT).
5) March 1944 – November 1945 covers HMCS Stettler, the Support Group EG-16, the loss of HMCS Magog and the Gribaltar convoys.

There is an additional sixth section where King examines the RCN and The Battle of the Atlantic in retrospect, and three appendices.
