Fonds consists of two manuscripts written by Dr. Barclay McKone, M.D. They are in typescript format. The first manuscript with the title "Moose Factory Indian Hospital" gives a brief historical and geographical background of Moose Factory and its service area, and it describes treatments to fight tuberculosis. The second manuscript with the title "Eastern Arctic Medical and X-Ray Survey 1955" has a diary-format description of the work done by group #2 of a 3 group expedition in their attempt to grapple with all the medical problems of the eastern Arctic. The time frame is from June to September 1955.

It is taken from the doctor's lecture note-book, from his days as a medical student in Glasgow (1815). The birth register contains births from 1817 to 1846.

Fonds consists of a diary dated 1910-1921 that belonged to Edwin Zimmerman Yerex of Little Britain, Ontario. The diary is a rich source of information about the people and events of Little Britain and the surrounding area. People with surnames such as Archer, Ashton, Chapman, Trick, Yeo, Snelgrove, Drews, and many others, are referred to throughout. Yerex has entered his daily activities, such as excursions to "the lake", fishing trips, and trips to the Canadian National Exhibition, and often mentions the church, gardening, hockey, politics, i.e. Sam Hughes political meetings, the weather, and musical performances and fairs in the area. He has also recorded world events such as the Halifax explosion and news relating to WWI.
