The subseries contains records illustrating the history of the Sisters. It consists of articles and prayers, history snippets, notes describing the establishment of the London congregation, hospital stories, and information on formation and tertianship. This subseries also includes articles on the history of Josephs’ House, Killam General Hospital, Marian Villa, and orphanages, as well as publications and calendars. Photographs and newspaper clippings on habit commission from 1996 to 1980 are also included in this subseries. The photographs illustrate the experimentation in habit changes in 1968.

Heart-LinksSubseries consists of records providing an overview of the history of the partnership between the Sisters of St. Joseph and the St. Joseph’s Hospice. This includes a timeline of events from the first meeting to receiving the first resident.
This series contains various directories and Associate lists. The directories are small booklets arranged in chronological order which contain the name, address, and phone numbers of all Associates from the years 1992-2007. These booklets are internally organized by geographical group within southwestern Ontario. There are alphabetical lists of Associates indicating the year they became Associates, and which city they are Associated with. Notably, there are three albums which are larger booklets that contain photographs of members, divided by city. There are agreements from 1995-2012 between the Associates and their directors but these are for Associates who have subsequently withdrawn from the program. There is also correspondence indicating the withdrawal of two Associates from Yellowknife, NWT.
This subseries contains a single newsletter with information on staffing changes, retreats, Sisters moving to new residences, and notices of jubilees. There is also information on a workshop hosted by the Council General Treasurer and the Congregational Leadership Circle attending the Canadian Religious Conference.

This is a collection of reference materials collected by the Sisters illustrating the history and foundation of the congregations in Canada, the USA, and France. The collection illustrates Mother St. John Fontbonne’s life and work. There is a special focus on the history of the Sisters of St. Joseph in the London diocese. The collection is comprised of publications, calendars, correspondence, news clippings, photographs, postcards, an international directory, family tree diagrams, and a watercolor painting.
This subseries consists of two annual reports published by the London Foundation Donations Committee outlining charitable giving and its impact. The priority areas for funding include women, families, and children; the environment; community relationships; and urgent or emergency needs.
This series consists of records related to Sister Margaret Ferris’s teaching career, specifically concerning her involvement with the London District Catholic School Board, St. Peter’s Seminary, and the University of Western Ontario. This includes a speech given by Sister Margaret, an award certificate presented to Sister Margaret, forms for appointment and professional advancement, correspondence, resumes, teaching evaluations, and course books. The course books are adaptations of Sister Margaret Ferris’s 1993 book, Compassioning: Basic Counselling Skills for Christian Care-Givers.

Some later newsletters pertained to the amalgamation of four congregations to become The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Canada in 2012.
