Fonds consists of incoming business correspondence, other business records (such as accounts, agreements, ledgers, and deed pool records), and journals and letterbooks, concerned with the fur trade as carried on by the North West Company and the Hudson's Bay Company in the Temiscaming District. The majority of the correspondents were fur traders and factors from various posts in the Temiscaming district; this correspondence is arranged alphabetically by post of origin, then chronologically within each post. Fonds also contains some personal correspondence from members of the Cameron family including: Elizabeth McTavish and Sophia Cameron (nieces of Angus Cameron), James Cameron (nephew of Angus Cameron) and Sophia Cameron (daughter of Angus Cameron). Fonds is divided into three sections, the first consisting of eight numbered sections, microfilmed on MS 209. Fonds includes McDonell's personal correspondence with his family, predominantly his sons Angus and Alexander as well as his daughter, Mary. Topics include: family matters, business concerns, politics and cholera. In addition, fonds contains McDonnell family indentures, grants, and powers of attorney. Also included are genealogical materials compiled by Mrs. J. J. Street pertaining to the McDonell and Kennedy families of Glengarry County.

Fonds consists of ca. 10,600 colour photographic prints and negatives depicting converted one-room schoolhouses. The photographs were taken in the course of Logan's research for the book "School's Out: A Pictorial History of Ontario's Converted Schoolhouses".

The fonds includes 5 albums of approximately 600 colour prints depicting interior and exterior views of Ontario schoolhouses, with captions including name of school, geographic location and date of construction. The first album contains portions of text used in the introduction of Logan's book on schoolhouses.

Also included are ca. 10,000 colour prints and 35 mm. negatives depicting Ontario interior and exterior views of schoolhouses.

Fonds consists of cabinet cards, cartes-de-visite, gelatin prints and post cards (both black and white and hand-coloured) taken or collected by A.E. Saunders. The photos depict her family life and nursing career and include views taken in England, South Africa and Cobalt, Ontario. Some of the amateur prints were taken either by A.E. Saunders herself (although none explicitly identify her as the photographer), Dorothy May Saunders, a relative by marriage, or other nurses. Others were taken by professional photographers. Some of the photos have identifying information and dates written on the back.

The majority of the photos depict Cobalt, especially the Cobalt Mines Hospital. The Cobalt views, many on post cards, depict mines, street scenes, and various buildings. Of particular interest are views of the 1909 and 1912 Cobalt fires, and views of Sir Wilfrid Laurier opening the Y.M.C.A. on September 18, 1912. There are also interior and exterior views of the Cobalt Mines Hospital, portraits of nursing staff (including A.E. Saunders), and photos of nurses with patients.

As well, there are portraits of nurses in Great Britain during World War I, including some of nursing staff with military personnel. There are also a number of Saunders family portraits taken in England and Canada, with some identification. Finally, there are pre- Boer war views of nurses and a hospital facility in South Africa.

Fonds consists of a collection of photocopies of documents mostly about Anson Buck. Included is a volume entitled Collected Data on the Life of Dr. Anson Buck (1833-1919), together with Original Letters Bearing Tributes from Contemporaries, which was edited by Sir Charles G.D. Roberts for the Trans- Canada Press, 1940, and a volume entitled Historical Sketch of Early Trafalgar Township, written about 1900 by Keturah Adelaide Buck. The fonds also includes a volume of Howell family genealogical data, as well as genealogical data about the Buck family. There are also a few newspaper clippings about Anson Buck.

Fonds consist of Adamson's research materials on Sir Allan MacNab and Dundurn Castle, and relating to the restoration efforts at Upper Canada Village. Materials are typescript excepts from diaries, wills, and letters relevant to the research, as well as references to published sources. These are often annotated with comments reflecting the signficance of the information for the site. Upper Canada Village materials focus on the Loucks family and the Loyalist Farm, the Glengarry School in 1965, the French- Robertson House, Cook's Tavern, Medicine in Upper Canada (1783-1867), Roads in Upper Canada (1783-1867), Agriculture in Upper Canada (1784-1867), and the Military History of the St. Lawrence River Valley (1760-1814) Records include typescript material extracted from newspapers, diaries, and published works, as well as copies of maps, plans, and pictures. The fonds consists of the professional project records of Anthony Kemp Architects Incorporated and includes: architectural draft sketches and finished drawings; client correspondence and proposals; meeting reports, evaluations, and change orders; documentary photographs; payment certificates; and concept and promotional presentations.

The drawings and textual records document the project phases from the initial inquiry to the completed and furnished structure. The collection includes conceptual drawings, schematic sketches, perspectives, and complete working drawings. The projects range from proposed models to completed structures and document a vast range of types of buildings, additions and renovations under the direction of Anthony Kemp Architects Incorporated.

Fonds contains maps, reports, correspondence and primary research materials pertaining to environmental projects undertaken by Anthony Usher Planning Consultant. Fonds also contains some records pertaining to projects with which Anthony Usher was involved prior to the formation of his own practice in 1984.

Records document land use planning studies, guidelines and proposals for parks, watersheds, residential developments, fisheries, marinas, beaches and lake systems. Files also document activities such as development feasibility analyses, environmental assessments, provision of expert testimony, natural heritage planning and program evaluation, and the participation of communities in regional and local planning.

Fonds consists of correspondence of the two predecessors of Archibald Cochrane, records regarding the activities of the Canadian Red Cross in the Brampton area, labour dispute case files, a scrapbook pertaining to Cochrane's military service, legal career, and family, a recipe book, a medical case journal, and an audiotaped interview with Mrs. Ann Boyd Skinner, Cochrane's daughter, in which she discusses her father and her family history. The correspondence of Cochrane's predecessor Judge Justin, consists mainly of carbon copies of outgoing correspondence. The correspondence of his predecessor Judge Trevor H. Grout consists mainly of correspondence regarding County Court cases. Records include a volume containing photomechanical reproductions of cartoons drawn by Archibald O. Lampman, titled Royal Military College, [Kingston, Ontario] and Memoirs of Stanley Barracks and the Royal Canadian Dragoons, 1915-1917. Also included are two volumes of genealogical records about the Lampman family, compiled by the Reverend Ernest Voorhis in 1920. One volume is titled The Ancestry of Archibald Lampman, Poet, and the other is titled Genealogical Record of the Lampman Family in Canada.

Fonds consists of records created or accumulated by Armour Adamson Miller and his son, Alexander John Miller.

Included is correspondence, predominantly from Armour Miller to his wife, Helen B. Miller and their children while Miller was stationed at Witley Training Camp in Surrey, England during World War I. These letters contain details of military training and combat. Also included is a regimental history of the military group of which Armour Miller was commanding officer: the 134th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force (C.E.F.) (48th Cameron Highlanders). Other correspondence includes letters exchanged between Alexander J. Miller (known as Bill) and his mother while he served in World War II.

Other military-related textual records include a certificate issued to Armour Miller on February 3, 1903 by England's Minister of Militia Defence on behalf of King Edward VII, appointing Miller to the rank of Officer in the 48th Cameron Highlanders; programmes for the unveiling of monuments honouring those who died in World War I at Harbord Collegiate Institute, and at Bonar Presbyterian Church in Toronto, Ontario; a request to the Director of Graves Registration and Enquiries for a photograph of Armour Miller's grave; and a discharge certificate for Alexander Miller.

In addition, the fonds contains etchings with watercolour, created by Georges Plasse, showing the Canadian National Vimy Memorial in France.

Other records include photographs of the Miller family and unidentified Ontario lakes and landscapes. The fonds contains an album with photographs of unidentified landscapes and unidentified people engaged in various activities, such as skiing. Also included is a (dismantled) album of photographs showing people and scenes from trips to Temiscamingue Lake (1901), Sand Lake (1907), and Peninsular Lake (1907). Other photographs show an outdoor painting excursion.

Also included is a certificate issued in 1942 to Alexander John Miller by the Brighton School of Art for completion of a course in camouflage and field sketching, and a log book created by Armour Miller, documenting trips to Temiscamingue (August 1901), Algonquin Park (1904 and 1908), and Sand Lake (1907).

The fonds also contains postcards with images of the following individuals or scenes: the family of Olive (Foster) Robinson outside a home at 48 Dufferin Street, Toronto; a school group in May 1926, including Alexander Miller; a postcard showing the 134th Battalion of the C.E.F.; postcards depicting scenes of Taormina in Sicily, Italy; and a postcard with a fabric image of a burning Saint Roch Church in Armenti鳥s, France in 1916.
