The fonds cosists of three series. They are: Minutes, Cashbook and a history of the Ilderton Horticultural Society, taken from the minutes.

The fonds includes Minute Books, Tweedsmuir Histories and scrapbooks.

Collection consists of audio recordings of interviews with individuals who were active in the Toronto visual art community during Robert Markle’s lifetime, art historians, and friends and family of Robert Markle. Collection also includes two notebooks containing transcriptions and notes. Interviews were created and used in the process of researching Blazing Figures: A Life of Robert Markle. Fonds consists of personal and professional records of Canadian painter Jack Bush, created chiefly in Toronto during the 1930s to 1970s: his personal diaries; record books containing notes on his paintings; photographs (slides, transparencies, negatives and prints) largely of his paintings but also of his studio, exhibit installations and other subjects; with scrapbooks of newspaper and magazine clippings about the artist, exhibition notices, examples of his commercial art, and further records of his paintings.

Item is a painting by Canadian actor and artist Robert Imbert Orchard (1909-1991). Oil, unframed painting. Written on verso: "Painted by Robert Imbert Orchard when a student in J. W. Beatty's class at Corbett's Mill, Port Hope. The "Julia B. Merrill" ship painted in Port Hope harbour 1928. She was afterwards burnt at Sunnyside August 1931 to amuse the public. One of the last lake schooners had been a rum runner, then was carrying coal." Orchard would have been 19 years of age when he painted this. He had returned to Port Hope for a visit in the summer of 1928, which coincided with the fire of 1928 at Trinity College School.

Fonds consists of files relating to Larry Zolf's activities as journalist and writer and to his career with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The fonds includes personal and professional correspondence, drafts of television programs, magazine articles, dramatic works and reviews, notebooks, research files, diaries and financial records. It also includes draft manuscripts, research material, and correspondence related to his books "Dance of the dialectic," "Just watch me : remembering Pierre Trudeau," "Scorpions for sale," "Zolf," and "The Dialectical dancer," as well as for his online column, "Inside Zolf."

The collection consists of financial papers, genealogy books, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, postcards, business cards, music books, horoscope, poll book, address books, ledgers, notebooks, birthday cards, letters, photos/photo album, cartoons, highschool entrance exam, recipe book, stamp book, programs/brochures/concerts, dance cards, yearbooks, certificates, reciepts, invitations, membership cards and text book/teaching book.

Item is a framed print from the Douglas R. Greer Collection entitled: "Light & Dark Cahill, a brakeman on the Erie & Lackawanna Railroad, New York. Dry flies are tied with waterproof rooster neck-hackles, which enable them to float. The sinking wet flies are tied to emulate the underwater stage of an insect's life. A popular legend involving Daniel Cahill established this young sportsman as a conservative pioneer. The related occasion was a serious derailment of Daniel's train, and he re-entered the capsized car to retrieve a number of rainbow trout destined for a hatchery, and released them in a nearby creek."

File consists of two (2) prints which originally hung in the Port Hope & District Hospital. Lord Willingdon served as Governor-General to Canada 1926-1931; One of Lady Willingdon and one of Lord Willingdon, both autographed.

This fonds consists of programmes, rules and regulations, membership records, annual reports, minutes, correspondence and research material of the Lyceum Club and Women's Art Association of Peterborough.

File consists of a DVD including Marjorie Sorrell's "Our Memories: Downtown Port Hope" Oral History Project interview; and a paper copy of the interview transcript, 2013. The interview was edited and uploaded to YouTube with the following description: "Join the Port Hope Archives as we speak to Marjorie Sorrell about local businesses, moving to Port Hope, Opportunity for Youth, Olde Tyme Christmas, her ballet school and bed and breakfast, and her husband, Brian Sorrell."
