One holograph letter from John Galt addressed to "Croker." The letter requests that Croker publish the enclosed items in his magazine if they are not too late reaching him.

One 141 page carbon typescript of "Among the beavers: Canadians and others" by Gladys Lillian King. The work is a personal narrative of the work done by the Military Women Police in and around the Beaver Hut in the Strand, London, England. Also includes two photographs of King with others.

Register book kept by the Ontario Association of Architects for the years 1890-1899. The book lists dues paid by each member of the association as well as money received for exam fees, filing articles, student fees and more. Also includes one item of correspondence from Mills & Hutton, architects asking the secretary for information on rates for architectural work. The register was kept by William R. Gregg.

Manuscript poem that was found in Hartley Coleridge's "Poems: Songs and Sonnets." The poem is written in an unknown hand and the title reads "Lines (unpublished) written to a friend after a discussion on [points] of faith - by Hartley Coleridge."

Three handwritten German prayer books dating from 1783 to the late 19th century. Each book contains a series of prayers such as communion, confession, morning, and evening prayers, in addition to examples of Fraktur (folk) art in ink and watercolour.

Manuscript poem entitled, "On Parting from My Sister and Her Children." Also included are two pencil drawings, one of which depicts a church and graveyard scene in a village located three miles from Dublin. The poem and drawings have been bound into a book. In the front cover of the book is a newspaper clipping of an obituary for Isabella Jane and Caroline Olivia Clare.

Notebook and records collected by Minnie O'Hara Maines from 1948 to 1971 in her capacity as a member of the Executive of the Kitchener-Waterloo Council of Friendship. There are blank forms regarding tax deductions and employment contracts for English-speaking classes, along with newspaper clippings that cover registration for and advertisements of these classes in Kitchener. The fonds also includes other promotional pamphlets and cards for the classes and for the Council in general, along with lists of winners for the Council's scholarship funds and names of contributors.

Materials relating to the personal and professional life of Marie Stopes as well as to the history of birth control. Includes biographical materials, articles and ephemera related to birth control, correspondence, and manuscript drafts of a biography of Stopes by Ruth Hall.

The fonds consists of textual and visual materials created and received by Dorney over the course of his career, including drafts and reprints of most of his published writings, teaching and course materials, audio-visual materials, framed items, ephemera and realia. Of interest is an original map by Dorney which attempts to reconstruct the original vegetation patterns in North Dumfries Township in Waterloo County in the 19th century. Dorney's collection of ca. 4,500 slides is particularly significant in its documentation of natural vegetation, urban impact and areas of ecological interest both locally and elsewhere and includes extensive documentation of the "mini-forest" at his home at 124 Amos Ave. in Waterloo. Four large albums entitled "Pan Politae and Friends" which contain photographs, ephemera and text, both original and copies, relative to the history of the Pan Politae Club, as well as photographs and biographical information about its members from 1938 to 1995. The history of Pan Politae is documented through current and historical portraits, group portraits and photographs of activities such as reunions. Also included are photographs of fund raising projects such as Christmas Tree sales and of service projects such as work at YMCA camps. The service work photographs are primarily of Camp Wabanaki at its original location on Beausoleil Island, Georgian Bay, and the work done there by Pan Politae members. As the camp was destroyed by fire ca. 1970 these photographs are of particular interest in documenting the site. These albums were compiled to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Kitchener-Waterloo Young Men's Christian Association and contain portraits, biographical information and ephemera relating to its history as well as to that of Pan Politae. This accession continues to add to the holdings of Nancy-Lou Patterson's most recent activities, writing and design work. Of particular interest, however, is the presence of a significant amount of "juvenile" and young adult work, both written and artistic. Compositions and notebooks from public and high school, short stories, poems, scrapbooks, projects created for art courses, all demonstrate her very early interest in art and writing.
The development of an artistic style is documented in her experiments in female "superhero" comics, her cartoon rendition of Tennyson, serious drawings to accompany poems, and illustrations for text.

In particular, the records focus upon the activities and deliberations of the Long Range Planning Committee and its subcommittees as it established a facilities plan for major renovations between 1992 and 1999. Closely related to these activities are records documenting membership issues including surveys and Membership and Fees Sub Committee minutes and reports.
Includes as well, materials relating to the activities of the Ladies Curling Committee; records documenting the planning of the du Maurier Classic L.P.G.A tournament, 1990; club newsletters; and miscellaneous publications.
