This collection consists of textbooks; correspondence; articles; pamphlets; newspaper articles; bulletins; guidebooks; booklets; registration forms; maps; master plans; inventories; indexes; publications; slides; reports; conference and symposium programmes; speaker biographies; mailing lists; business cards; hand-written notes; photocopied articles and appendices; presentations; and reference lists created by Canadian conference organizers and their participants with a focus on horticulture, landscape, garden history, and historical farms and museums.

Collection consists of memorabilia created by Canadore College for commemoration and advertisement purposes.

Item is a framed document entitled "Roll of Honour. Canton School." It includes the names of students who received top honours in class during the years 1911-1921. Fonds consists of the records pertaining to the activities of the Canadian Association for Women in Science (CAWIS) and includes CAWIS administration records, 1981-1992; CAFWEST records, 1983-1989; Task Force on the Status of Women Graduate Students records, 1985-1991; Women's Studies Working Group records, 1985-1989; York Women's Centre records, 1975-1991.

Fonds consists of records relating to student life at Central Elgin Collegiate Institute, including yearbooks, programs and a student directory, some of which were once in the possession of former principal G.W. Trevithick.

Fonds consists of records that reflect the functions and activities of Council as a legislative and regulatory body in legal matters, taxation, justice and public protection, education, public health and welfare, finance, public accountability and planning. Records include, but are not limited to: working papers, minutes and resolutions, by-laws, reports to Council, and Court of Revision Records. The fonds chronicles Council activities and functions, and documents decisions and deliberations, and relationship with the civic administration, the Province of Ontario, the County of York, the Village of Woodbridge before 1971, and the Regional Municipality of York after 1971.

The fonds consists of typescripts for two works by the Clara McCandless Thomas and John Watt Lennox: one is the typescript of their work, 'William Arthur Deacon: a Canadian literary life,' with editorial changes in pencil, and the second is a chapter titled, 'A sense of belonging,' a study of the Canadian Authors Association, that was eventually incorporated into the Deacon book. Deacon was literary critic for the 'Mail and empire', (later the 'Globe and mail') and 'Saturday night magazine'. There are also computer printouts of index lists generated for the book on Deacon.

Claude Garton was a teacher and botanist. He amassed a collection of over 10,000 plant specimens, which were donated to form the Herbarium at Lakehead University. These records relate largely to his plant observations and collections.

Fonds consists of five scrapbooks containing photographs, newspaper clippings, certificates, programs, memos, speeches, correspondence and lists of awards given to the school and to the students.

The collection contains a 1963 issue of the students’ journal Aurore and a photographic document autographed by Bishop Louis Levesque on October 22, 1959. The collection includes one box of textual and photographic documents.

The collection includes an incomplete series of student yearbooks, from the area’s high schools. In Hearst, student yearbooks from Académie St-Joseph and École Secondaire de Hearst High School are available. Yearbooks from Académie D’Youville and Cité des Jeunes of Kapuskasing are part of the collection, as well. It also includes some yearbooks published by Académie Don-Bosco, Collège Notre-Dame, Collège Sacré-Cœur, Roland Michener Secondary School, and École secondaire catholique Thériault in Timmins. Académie Don-Bosco, Académie St-Joseph, Académie D’Youville, Collège Notre-Dame and Collège Sacré-Cœur were among the private schools that closed after the Ontario government approved the establishment of French public secondary schools, in 1968.

This collection includes newspaper clippings and a few documents relating to the activities of La Boîte à Lettres, between 1988 and 2001.
