Fonds consists of printouts of compilation of the commissioning and paying off dates of the Canadian Navy’s 60 Castle class trawlers and 100 Canadian-built Admiralty wood drifters built at the end of the First World War. The lists are arranged by the companies that built the Canadian Navy trawlers and wood drifters.

Fonds consists of Air Gunner Gilbert Boulanger’s flying logbook for 1942 to 1944, which includes several photographs and newspaper clippings from that period. The logbook also contains colour photographs of RCAF aircraft and of Boulanger at ceremonial events, including his flight inside a CF-18 fighter jet in 2010. A copy of the signatures and approbations for this flight, as well as the invitation to the 2009 Bagotville Commander’s Ball, is included within the logbook, along with several autographs from RCAF personnel. Also consists of two compact disks, one of which contains scanned pages of the flying logbook. The other holds Boulanger’s personnel file from the Second World War.

Fonds consists of documents concerning the Chief of Transformation Syndicate Exercise in 2010, which had the objective of eliminating layers from the CF (Canadian Forces), by doing a study of the organizational system. Ultimately the goal is to have a more integrated CF. Includes instructions, agenda, background information, reports, power-point presentations and other documents on the exercise.

Fonds consists of a DVD entitled “Battle for a Barren Rock”. It was created to commemorate the battle of Hong Kong, December 1941. The film is a collection of photographs related to the Hong Kong campaign, which highlight the Canadian servicemen’s experience in the conflict. There are photographs of various aspects of the conflict such as prisoner of war camps, prisoners of war, soldiers in action, and war graves.

Fonds consists of one DVD copy of “The Alouette at War”, produced by the Visual Education Centre for the Department of National Defence in 1971. The film uses archival film footage from the Second World War to present a brief summary of the Alouette Squadron’s, or 425 Squadron’s activities during the Second World War. The film is about 18 minutes in length.

Fonds consists of papers prepared for the Canadian Forces Social Contract symposium in 1998. Also includes photocopies of articles and printouts from web sites regarding the war in Kosovo and the history of Canada’s contributions in the air operations over the former Yugoslavia between March-June 1999. Collection consists of an account of Commander J.H. (Harris) MacLean’s naval career including his voyage through the Northwest Passage, and a copy of the eulogy delivered at Commander MacLean’s funeral. Both were written by Ian Greenwood from interviews he conducted with Commander MacLean beginning in November 2006. The collection also includes various black and white photographs of HMCS Labrador and her crew as they erected beacons during their voyage through the Northwest Passage. A black and white photograph of the crew of HMCS Margaree and four colour photos, three of HMCS Margaree, and one of ships moored at Pearl Harbour are also part of the collection. Also includes various group photos from a meeting of the Explorers Club of New York in 1956, a photo of 2nd Escort Squadron Hockey team taken in Tokyo Japan in February 1962, several photos of groups of men from HMCS Discovery and HMCS Kings. Includes black and white photographs of graduating classes from Fleet School, HMCS Naden, Esquimalt. Miscellaneous black and white photos of various ships, people, icebergs, sailors, and planes are also part of the collection.

Fonds consists of a report entitled “Canadian Forces Pension Project Qualitative Research Findings: A Report for Director of Pensions and Social Program”. The objective of this paper is to summarize the discussions held at focus groups in 2008 with Canadian Forces members across the country on how and if they receive information on pension plans. The report outlines the methodology used in the study. It also includes observations from the focus group sessions and solutions suggested by focus group participants related to communication about the Canadian Forces pension plans.

Fonds consists of documents printed from 16 computer disks and includes all the staff work done to prepare and deploy the units of 4 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group [CMBG] for the mission to UNPROFOR [United Nations Protection Force] and Operation Harmony in Croatia. Includes the following on Operation Harmony: a draft establishment; a guide to tactical organization; briefing outlines and assignments, training guidelines for tasked units; and joining instructions. Also includes documents re 4 CMBG staff inspection, and operations and training.

Fonds consists of photocopied records regarding the activities of the United States Joint Chiefs of Staff for 1946-1964. There are correspondence, memoranda and working drafts concerning North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) military affairs. The 2007 accession consists of copies of the records of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for 1946-1958. These files are mixed in with other US Western Hemisphere Continental Defence files dealing with Canada-United States military relations, defence, air defence, emergency defence plans, military cooperation and security. Also includes the defence of Central and South America as regards to the Act of Chapultipec.

Fonds consists of textual and pictorial items collected by Earle G. Dolbel during his stay at Marlag und Milag Nord prison camp from 1941 to 1945. There is a scrapbook and a personal journal. The scrapbook contains drawings, news clipping, label stickers, poems, photographs from home, and contributions from his fellow prisoners; it pays particular attention to the recreational activities and musical theatre productions in the camp. The journal, which covers the time between his capture and his return to Canada, explains more of Mr. Dolbel's routine in the camp. He writes about weather, rations, going to service, and hearing air raids outside. The highlights for Mr. Dolbel came whenever he received mail from his family and packages from the Red Cross. Fonds also contains a copy of the journal made in 1979 by one of his children, and an Imperial Oil magazine from 1988.

Collection consists of photocopies of flight reports and other documentation, an information book for the Imperial Defence College Tour of the Middle East in 1949, and a report by a German general on Operation Cerberus. Documents related to Bryans' early career include the report of his pilot's graduation tests, flight reports, headquarters orders for flights, and some correspondence. Also included are four photographs, three portraits of Bryans and one group photograph from an RAF navigation school. The information book from the Imperial Defence College tour is titled "General Headquarters Middle East Land Forces Nut Shell, 30 July to 30 Aug, 1949." It includes a programme of the tour, as well as topographical, military and political information on Tripolitania, Cyrenaica, Egypt, Greece, Cyprus, Iraq, Aden and Aden Protectorate, East Africa, Sudan and Eritrea, and Malta. Two maps, an outline map of the tour and a road map of Greece, are also included. The report by an unidentified German general is titled "The Channel Break Through 1942" and describes Operation Cerberus, the escape of three German battleships, Prinz Eugen, Gneisenau and Scharnhorst, from Brest to Norway in February 1942. The British counter-action, code-named Operation Fuller, is also described.

Fonds consists of files containing forms, messages and correspondence between chart depots at various locations in the world and the Hydrographic Services Office in Halifax, N.S. Includes files regarding dispersal of hydrographic supplies, dangers and aids to navigation, chart and map procurement, admiralty publications and the administration of the Hydrographic Services Office. Also, fonds contains various lists and logs, such as Chart Correction Logs and Folio Indexes, Consecutive Lists of Admiralty Charts and Candydrolants, and the HSO log for 1942-1945, as well as 26 compact disks of miscellaneous naval images from the Hydrographic Services Offices in Halifax. Fonds consists of a five-year diary (1941-1945) kept by Donald A. Fraser when he was a pilot with the Royal Air Force (RAF) during the Second World War. The Diary gives an account of his experiences as a Canadian pilot in the RCAF who served with the RAF in the Second World War. Also includes a "Private Pilots Certificate and Licence", an RCAF service and pay book, and an identity booklet for the RAF.

Fonds consists of records collected for the preparation of the books by Dr. John Clearwater: "Canadian Nuclear Weapons", "U.S. Nuclear Weapons in Canada", “They are just Dummies” and documents for a digest named “War Against Iraq”. Includes an accumulation of the archival material consulted preceding publication, such as annual historical reports, minutes of meetings, correspondence and messages, nuclear reports, nuclear technical arrangements, articles, newspaper clippings, brochures, Cabinet and External Affaires agreement negotiations, and RCMP investigation reports. C’est un rapport où sont détaillé le budget du projet, les objectifs du projet, les critères de sélection des officiers et soldats de la guerre de Sept Ans en Nouvelle-France, la présentation du livre, etc. Il y a aussi un disque compact avec l’image et la transcription du contrôle des troupes du régiment de Bearn (1762), une liste des documents produits dans le cadre du projet, et l’état des photos, des transcriptions, de la saisie et de la validation des données concernant les régiments de Montcalm.
