Sub-series consists of annual group photographs of TWH "House" or Intern staff. Photographs for several years exist in both positive and negative form, and file TW 3-3-1 consists of negatives for the period 1928-1956 with the exception of 1929 to 1933-34. The photograph for 1924 (file TW 3-3-2) exists in negative form only. Photographs are missing for 1926, 1927, 1929, 1931-32, 1933-34, and for the entire period 1972-73 to 1978-79. Photographs for 1935-36 and 1936-37 exist only in negative form (see file TW 3-3-1). The individual staff members shown in these photographs are identified, although in the case of photographs prior to 1935 some of these identifications are tentative or incomplete.

This sub-series consists of the minutes of meetings of the TWH medical staff for the period June 1894-December 1911.

This sub-series consists of annual reports prepared by the TWH/Atkinson School of Nursing and submitted to:

i. Ontario Department of Health. Inspector of Training Schools - Nurse Registration Branch. "Training School Report" (1931-38)
ii. Ontario Department of Health. Nurse Registration Branch. "School of Nursing Report" (1939-47)
iii. Ontario Department of Health. Director, Division of Nurses Registration. (1948-51)
iv. Ontario Department of Health. Director, Nursing Branch. (1952-63)
v. Director, College of Nurses of Ontario. (1964-73)
Calendar-year reports were prepared 1931-1959, and September-August reports 1960-1973. The sub-series is missing reports for 1946 and September 1970-August 1971.

Reports include names, education and professional history, and professional responsibilities of School of Nursing administrators, faculty and staff; a statistical summary of services provided by the Hospital (number of beds, patients, and medical procedures performed); information about the School's facilities, students (number, entrance requirements, education and training duties), curriculum, and affiliation with other educational and healthcare institutions.

This sub-series consists of monthly and quarterly reports prepared by the School of Nursing and submitted to:

ii. Ontario Department of Health. Division of Nursing (1952)
iii. Ontario Department of Health. Nursing Branch (1953-65)

Reports were prepared on a monthly basis from 1946-1959, and on a quarterly basis (January, March, June and October) from 1960-1965. For the quarterly reporting period this sub-series has only one report per year (see file 5-2-15): March 1960, October 1961, March 1962, January 1963, January 1964, and October 1965.

Reports include numbers of registered nurses and other nursing staff employed by the TWH, numbers of student nurses enrolled in the School of Nursing, names and qualifications of new employees among senior administrative and nursing staff, and names and conditions of ill students.

This sub-series consists of miscellaneous general administrative files created or maintained by the TWH/Atkinson School of Nursing and pertaining to the day-to-day operation of the School. There are gaps in the records for some of the files:
• Graduation programs (File TW 5-3-3) are missing for 1920-27, 1929-31, 1933-36, 1938, 1941, 1943, 1950, 1953-58, 1960.
• File 5-33-22 only contains minutes of the Charting Committee from 1949, 1952, 1959, 1961, 1965, and 1967.
• Programs for “Whites in Review” (File TW 5-3-24) are missing for 1958, 1960, and 1962-66.

File TW 5-3-4 includes an address to convocation by Robertson Davies from 1965. File TW 5-3-25 contains the publications Half a Century of Nursing at the TWH [1948?] and The Nurses Alumnae Association of the TWH: Diamond Jubilee 1898-1988 [1988]. Both pamphlets contain histories of the TWH and Grace Hospital Schools of Nursing

This sub-series consists of miscellaneous photographs depicting staff, students, facilities, and activities of the School of Nursing. File TW 5-4-4 consists of negatives related to miscellaneous aspects of nursing education at the TWH, but mostly of portraits of graduating classes.

This sub-series consists of three loose-leaf scrapbooks containing miscellaneous press clippings and photographs relating to nursing education at the TWH.

Sub-series consists of the School’s yearbook, entitled “The Pulse”, which was inaugurated with the 1949 edition. The first editor was Mary B. Morton, with co-editor Josephine J. Evans. The Advisory Committee consisted of Miss B. McPhedran, the Assistant Principal of the School for Nurses, and Miss G. Jones, one of the School’s instructors.

This series consists of documents and photographs created and maintained by the Toronto Western Hospital Auxiliary and its predecessor bodies, the TWH Women's Auxiliary, the TWH Women's Board, and the TWH Ladies' Board.

This sub-series consists of records documenting the Auxiliary's general, executive and annual meetings. Included are minutes; financial, committee and Presidential reports presented at annual meetings; notices of meeting; and individual members' meeting-attendance records.

This sub-series consists of various documents and publications describing the history of the TWH Auxiliary from 1897-1987. File TW 6-10-3 includes a pamphlet marking the Auxiliary's 90th anniversary and containing a history of the Auxiliary. The file also contains a typescript draft with annotations of the historical article contained in the pamphlet, and a commemorative 90th anniversary bookmark.

This sub-series consists of ten scrapbooks containing photographs, press clippings, various documents and memorabilia (ribbons, pins etc.) illustrating the history of the TWH Auxiliary, 1897-1989. The albums were compiled between 1973 and 1989 by Nina M. Gamble.

This sub-series consists of financial records created by or for the Auxiliary, including account books, Treasurer's papers and reports, auditors' reports, bank records and annual financial statements. Financial records of the Auxiliary Gift Shop are maintained separately in sub-series 6-3.
