One memo dated May 18, 1972 and sent by W.C. Muirhead [Bill Muirhead] concerning the sale of Muirhead Stations Limited to Alan Querney. This memo, while not addressed, was most likely sent to the employees of Muirhead Stations Limited at the time of purchase.

This fonds contains records produced during the time the Sisters administered and worked at Mount St. Joseph Centre in Hamilton. It also consists of records which were produced by the Woodview Children’s Centre and Cool School in Burlington and Hamilton. These institutions grew out of Mount St. Joseph Centre after it ceased its functions. The records that encompass this collection are of historical importance because they offer a snapshot of special needs education during the latter half of the twentieth century. The fonds consists of bylaws and policies, correspondence, proposals and reports, a scrapbook, meeting minutes, financial records, newspaper clippings, photographs, publications, invitations, addresses, and legal documents.

It provides information on some of the Hearst area lumber companies and on organizations such as the Hearst Lumbermen’s Association and the Ontario Lumber Manufacturers’ Association. The fonds also includes documents pertaining to the Hearst Forest Management company, the Northern Ontario Development Corporation, and to René Fontaine in his role as a member of the Ontario legislature and minister in the Ontario government. This is complemented by government reports, studies analyzing the situation and needs of the lumber industry and of Northern Ontario’s economy, handbooks relating to the working practices of the industry and maps mostly illustrating cutting rights in the forest of the region.

UntitledThis fonds consists of a day book and ledger. The daybook reflects business conducted at the Cunningham General Store in Glamis, Bruce County, Ontario. The book is organized chronologically from July 1, 1896 - February 1899 and lists under each day: customer names, summary of goods purchased and price. Goods included groceries, hardware and textiles. The ledger reflects business conducted at the A.A. Greer General Store (formerly Cunningham General Store) in Glamis, Bruce County, Ontario from 1922-1924, immediately following the purchase of the store by Albert Arthur Greer (married to Laura Cunningham). The book has an alphabetical index at the front. It is organized by customer and lists the dates and details of their purchases, credits and payments from 1922 to 1924. Purchases are often listed as "goods", but the ledger also shows the purchase of specific grocery and hardware items.
Includes three "A.A. Greer General Merchant" receipts. Also includes an invoice to A.A. Greer in account iwth Glamis Garage, 1923.

They include a set of aerial photographs of the town from the 1980s; the interior of the former Home Hardware store in the Baker Block on Main Street; the O’Connor House on Main Street before its demolition; the 1989 100th Anniversary celebrations, photographs of Centennial Park and Rathbun Memorial Park; the opening of the Deseronto Public Library in its 358 Main Street location in 2001; the Ontario Provincial Police handover ceremony in 2001; an Easter Parade from the early 2000s; a Santa Parade; the 2002 New Year’s Levee; and the 2010 Olympic Flame run in Deseronto.
Most of the photographs appear to have been taken by Town staff. One envelope was donated to the Town by Irene Usher and contains photographs taken by her late husband, Tom.
