In 1962, Women's College Hospital Board of Directors moved to send a letter to the Lieutenant Governor inviting Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother to grant her patronage to the hospital. The Queen Mother consented to act as the Patron of the hospital. Women's College Hospital was the only hospital in Canada to receive this honour.

Throughout her patronage, Women's College Hospital received letters of encouragement from Clarence House (the royal home and official residence of the Queen Mother), official portraits, and visits to the hospital by The Queen Mother. The Queen Mother passed away on March 30, 2002.

The collection is arranged into twelve series and consists of records related to the royal patronage of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother to Women's College Hospital. The collection contains correspondence, programmes, records related to the funeral of The Queen Mother, records related to the Festival of Ontario in 2002, and a handwritten account of The Queen Mother's visit to Women's College Hospital in 1965.

This collection consists of correspondence received by Dr. Marion Hilliard prior to a summer trip overseas on the Europa. The collection also contains a portfolio believed to belong to Dr. Hilliard. The correspondence, which includes note cards and letters, contains well wishes for the trip. The correspondence is undated, but is addressed to Dr. Hilliard, and so is assumed to be from between when she graduated from medical school in 1927 and her death in 1958.

The collection consists of correspondence, memos, a speech, a program, and teaching slides dating from 1941-1944, 1964, 1967-1968, 1973.

The collection is arranged into four files: correspondence; documents collected from Library and Archives Canada related to Dr. Davey; Order of Canada program; teaching slides belonging to Dr. Davey.

The collection consists of engineering drawings, photographic material, company records, employee records, product catalogues, company research, and other material relating to Waterous equipment, plant operations, and the employees of the Waterous Engine Works Co. 1874-1926, Waterous Ltd. 1926-1953 and Koehring-Waterous Ltd. 1953-1992. Textual records consist of corporate history, directors and shareholder’s minutes, order books, insurance appraisals, letters patents, deeds and mortgages, financial ledgers, stocks and bond issues, and brochures. There is also research by Roy Belshaw and his related correspondence. The engineering plans consist of 1773 drawings 1894-1931, mostly 1908-1931. Graphic material consists of 402 glass plate negatives, 171 negatives, 384 photographic prints, 1880-1960.

The remainder are cartoons.
