Fonds consists of records of the Rev. John Ross, his wife Anna Ross, and their daughter Elizabeth Ross Grace. The notes and writings of Elizabeth Ross Grace form the majority of the records in the fonds. The records of John Ross consist of a diary dated 21 March 1874 – 30 October 1874. The diary includes information about where he went, people he saw, biblical passages read, and meetings held. The records of Elizabeth Ross Grace consist of notes, drafts, resource materials, correspondence, newspaper clippings, diary entries, and personal mementos. The notes, drafts, and resource materials deal primarily with ecumenism and various aspects of church history including the disruption of 1844, the union of The Presbyterian Church in Canada in 1875, and Church Union of 1925. Photographs are of various members of the Grace family and places in India. The correspondence includes incoming and outgoing letters from colleagues, acquaintances, and Elizabeth Grace’s children. The newsclippings include published versions of Elizabeth Grace’s Letters-to-the-Editor and other items which were of interest to her. Integrated within the files of Elizabeth Ross Grace are also some writings of Anna Ross, the mother of Elizabeth Ross Grace and the wife of John Ross.
