Series consists of microfiche documenting army pensions and those affected with mustard gas during the Second World War. Arranged in three group: Central Registry Files; Chemical Warfare Agents; and Subject files. The first group is arranged in numerical order according to the classification scheme used by Central Registry. Includes microfiche regarding the Pension Act (1950-1991), the Pension Act and insurance principle (1965-1992), the Canada Pension Committee (1965-1993) and regulations and orders concerning casualties and funerals reporting on injuries (1965-1989). The second group concerns the mustard gas and is arranged in alphabetical order by surname. The last group covers such subjects as Boards of Inquiry, Pension and Advocates inquiries, the Adjutant, and pensions in general. Also includes a classified file (72/237) entitled "Summary of Allocation of Establishments by Command/Branch as of 1 Apr 73".

Series consists of Department of National Defence news releases from 1996 to 1998. These bilingual releases are organized by year. Also includes copies of newspaper articles regarding military assistance during the ice storm of 1998, Canada’s helicopter fleet, the closure of the Bessborough Armoury and the firefighting standards at civilian airports. These articles, some of which are written in French, were taken from the Globe and Mail, Calgary Herald, La Presse, Le Droit, Vancouver Sun, Kingston Whig-Standard, Ottawa Citizen and Edmonton Journal. Folder 5 contains notes for an address by Douglas Young, Minister of National Defence.
