A vast and varied collection of records documenting the experiences of Finnish immigrants to Northwestern Ontario. Includes correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, interviews, published material, and ephemera. The photograph collection is extensive and covers a wide range of subjects.

  • Manuscript by Raymond W. Wargelin entitled "European and American Factors Attending the Confrontation Between Finnish Radical Labour and the Finnish Church During the Steel Strike of 1907 on the Mesabi Range." (1974). In depth study of the involvement of socialism, religion and history of the Finnish people and how it pertains to the strike.
