Series consists of speeches and related materials from the office of Captain William Strange, Director of Naval Information (1942-1967).
Fonds contains files dealing mainly with military defence, naval policy, nuclear submarines, submarine warfare, naval life and conditions during the Second World War, as well as documents dealing with the Cuban Missile Crisis. There are eight series: Fonds is comprised of the following series:

Series contains post-1945 publicity files describing naval reserve divisions. These are filed under the Royal Canadian Navy central registry file number, 1880-170/, Publicity and Advertising - RCN - "R" Division.
Series contains press clippings collected during the Second World War on a variety of subjects including customs and traditions, naval policy, personnel, operations, submarine warfare and naval life and conditions. The clippings are arranged by subject according to the original M.I. (Military Intelligence) I filing system. A guide to this system is held in folder 1.2.
