Collection contains material documenting Captain Arthur Roy Brown's service with the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) during the First World War. Includes 38 black and white photographs, copies of Brown's letters from 1916-1918, copies of his flying logbooks for 1916-1918, excerpts transcribed from logbooks for 1915-1918, and other documents. These materials detail the Brown's activities, training, operations, air combats, and daily life with the RNAS. Also includes several articles and essays that provide evidence leading to differing conclusions as to who shot down Baron von Richthofen, or the Red Baron.
