eries consists of blank Naval Ordnance (NAVORD) material and can be divided into three sections: forms, instructions, and reports. The section on NAVORD forms is contained within two folders. The first folder contains the assorted NAVORD forms. The second covers a variety of topics: pyrotechnic performance, pyrotechnic ammunition manufacturing data card, ordnance inventory/Ordnance Alteration (ORDALT) status change reports, work measure reports, and battery record. The second folder contains a blank logbook for recording radar data. The section on NAVORD instructions is contained within two folders, one detailing standard inspection procedures and the other with orders 5200.6-8510.56. There are two NAVORD reports in the third section. The first report is on Frequency Modulated Magnetic Tape Recording devices and the other report is on modifications made to the Fire Control System for naval guns.

Series consists of technical notes produced by the Director General Fighting Equipment, Royal Canadian Navy on various naval weapons and systems. The technical notes were designed to analyse and draw conclusions about the naval equipment. The reports were meant to test the limits on some naval equipment and test potential improvements on others. The systems covered in the notes range from: very deep sonar equipment, vibrations of towing cables, preliminary analysis on hydrofoil craft, and notes on design of shipboard HF communication systems. The file labeled ‘Miscellaneous’ contains an inventory of technical reports and a miniature mock-up of the hardcover used when submitting technical reports. The folder also contains a coloured photograph of Queen Elizabeth II , a hand written version of the technical report index and other assorted technical notes and memos.

Series consists of two safety manuals issued by the U.S. Navy. The first manual provides general safety procedures to be followed by naval personnel. The manual is a general manual and covers everything from mechanical, maintenance safety, to firearms, ammunition storage, and explosives safety. The second safety manual covers the procedures to be used when handling chemicals used in pyrotechnics. The manual is organized by chemical and then lists the hazards, safety equipment and use of each chemical in pyrotechnics

Each volume contains instructional and educational information in the form of recommendations by a non-government operated consulting engineering company (The Stanwick Corporation) to the Canadian Forces regarding their ship building and design policies. The registers are for Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) classified publications of Canadian, British and American origin. The financial records includes: transfer and receipt vouchers and RCN forms for transfer; vouchers, receipts, distribution account listings, memoranda and other documents regarding furniture; and documents transfer and receipts. There are also photocopies of source cards regarding reports of British and Canadian government departments and agencies. The general files cover a wide variety of subjects, including: Admiralty pattern article numbers; Defence Research Establishment Pacific; Naval Engineering Design Investigation Team [NEDIT] memoranda and reports; job description; security clearances; and the United States Navy (USN) Shipbuilding Programme.
