Fonds consists of photographs and textual records gathered or taken by Flight Officer Brian G. Carr-Harris to document the Hudson Strait Expedition. Carr-Harris was assigned to Base C at Kangiqsujuaq (Wakeham Bay). The fonds is arranged in two series: 1) Diary, scrapbook, and logbook; and 2) Photographs.

The series contains records kept by B.G. Carr-Harris during the Hudson Strait Expedition. The logbook was continued after this period, up until 1930. A typed transcript of the diary may have been added to the records by Museum staff at a later date, or it may be a transcript done at the time of the Expedition.

These photographs (prints and negatives) consist of images that were either used in the scrapbook and/or perhaps used for the final report of the Expedition. The photographs show the members of the Expedition and the terrain under study, as well the bases established and local people encountered. The images demonstrate the work of setting up and running the three bases, with a focus on Base C where Carr-Harris was stationed
