Item is a store ledger for an unknown Port Hope store, 1825-1830. Ledger lists customer's names, purchases and costs.
File consists of several hand-drawn maps of Port Hope and area, undated. Maps are extremely fragile and need conservation attention; Some maps intact.
Series consists of various historical papers and research notes collected by Tom Long. It includes: (1) "Historic Roads of Ontario" Series # 5 "Kingston Road" CBC Radio script 1937; (2) Notes on the Kingston Road (for radio) 1937, copy; (3) "The Adventures of the Cobourg Rifles, During the Campaign of 1837 written by one of themselves;" (4) Handwritten and typed notes on the early history of Port Hope and area. At times the handwriting is illegible. Topics include: topography, Susan A. Grey, The Kingston Road, timelines, research notes, sketches; (5) Historical research - Port Hope and Area. Item is a Trust Deed for the Port Hope Baptist Church. Paper dated 4 Aug 1856.
File consists of two (2) volumes: Book of Psalms and The New Testament (only Matthew and Mark). Both volumes are inscribed with the following message: "To my aunt Miss J T Stephenson A Souvenir of my visit to Canada in the summer of 1860" dated "Port Hope 28 Sep 60."
Item is a book which was presented as an award. The book plate reads "This prize for proficiency in bookkeeping was presented to John S. Gibson a pupil in the United Grammar of Common Schools, Port Hope, Dec 24th 1866." The book includes maps and illustrations.
Item is an 1871 Wesleyan hymnal inscribed to "E. W. Barrowclough, Wesleyville, Ontario August 10th, 1877". Two notes taped in front; Embossed stamp "Moulton & Long Wholesale & Retail Music Dealers Port Hope, Ont." Hymnal may have belonged to Elijah Barrowclough (1853-1938) of Wesleyville. Buried at Wesleyville United Cemetery.
Series consists of a thirty-six (36) page photograph album, with fifteen (15) pages of black and white and sepia coloured photographs. Photographs include Walton Street, Drill Shed on Queen Street, Midland Railway station, 1878 flood, rural scenes, unidentified family portraits. It also includes images from Cleveland.

File consists of a "Ladies' Ticket" for a dinner given to Sir. Hector Louis Langevin, Minister of Public Works, on the occasion of his laying of the corner stone for the new post office. Directions are on the ticket of where the ladies may assemble and when they may enter the music hall; Complimentary Dinner for Mr. George Giddy at the St. Lawrence Hotel, January 25, 1902. Has menu on one side, and autographs on the other; Farewell Dinner for George B. Henwood at the Queen's Hotel, October 2, 1902. McKenny, H. W. Mitchell, R. A. Mulholland, M. Millford, R. Deyell, Fanny Dundas, F. W. Galbraith, The Great North Western Telegraph Company of Canada, Chas. Hutchings. The invoices and receipts show items and the purchase prices. Includes an invoice from the drugstore, telegraph company and seamstress.
Item is a 1st edition, 1901 copy of "Port Hope Historical Sketches" signed by the author W. Arnot Craick in 1963. Also included is a copy of the prospectus that was created about 1900 for advertising purposes.
