Administrative history
The Information Management Committee (IMC) was formed in January 1993. It is chaired by the Vice Chief of the Defence Staff and provides overall direction for information management in the Dept. of National Defence. As the senior departmental committee the IMC also provides advice to the Vice Chief of Defence Staff and acts as a Board of Directors for the Defence Information Services Organization.
