        History

        Hornepayne Pastoral Charge was formed in 1925; it included Hornepayne, and, until ca. 1958, Longlac, Stevens, Caramat, camp 5, Camp 12, Camp 53, and Hillsport. From 1968-1972, it was part of the two-point charge with St. Paul's United Church, Hearst.

        Grace United Church, located at 36 Third Avenue, was established in 1925, formerly Union. Methodist church services were first held in Hornepayne in 1918 by the minister stationed at Foleyet. A church building was constructed in 1922. It joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.
