    Custodial history

This collection was transferred from the Blenheim-Dumfries Farm Women's Club to the Ayr Branch of the Region of Waterloo Library sometime after 1970. In 2017, the Ayr Branch transferred the collection to the Region of Waterloo archives.

    Scope and content

This series consists of hand and typewritten notes that detail the history of the Blenheim-Dumfries Farm Women's Club. These papers were written by members over the course of many years. Some of the papers deal with the years since the founding in 1920 to (what was then) present day, with another set picking up afterward, while later papers offer whole histories of the Club (generally drawing on the papers that were written earlier). In total (with some repetition between papers written by different hands), the history of the club from its beginning in 1920 to the Fiftieth Anniversary in 1970 are covered. This history includes how the club was created, the members of various boards, the nature and scope of their activities and what their members were getting up to.
