Administrative history

High Park-Alhambra United Church, Toronto, was established in 1970 upon the union of High Park Avenue United Church and Alhambra Avenue United Church. The congregation used the High Park Avenue building which was located at 260 High Park Avenue, at the corner of High Park Avenue and Annette Street. The congregation closed in 1996.

Alhambra Avenue United Church, Toronto, was established in 1925. It was located at 1573 Bloor Street West, at the intersection of Bloor and Alhambra Avenue; formerly Alhambra Avenue Presbyterian Church, which had been known as Royce Avenue Presbyterian Church (located at Royce Avenue and Perth Avenue) until the Alhambra building was constructed on Bloor Street in 1909. From 1962 to 1969, Alhambra and Prospect Park United Church operated as a two point pastoral charge known as Alhambra-Prospect Park Pastoral Charge. In 1970 Alhambra Avenue United Church united with High Park Avenue United Church to form High Park-Alhambra United Church in the High Park building.
