Hay Bay Church was built by the Wesleyan Methodist Church in 1792, the first Methodist church to be built in Upper Canada; it closed in 1860, but is maintained as a historic site.

Fonds consists of the following records of Hay Bay Church in Adolphustown Township, and related records: preaching plan appointments of the Bath Circuit of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, 1858; receipts of the Hay Bay Branch of the Upper Canada Bible Society, 1848-1849; subscription list for the new church building (lot 18, 2nd con.), 1859; subscription list and minutes of the local Methodist Missionary Society, 1825-1843; and visitors' registers, 1950-1957.
