Custodial history
Precise custodial information for most items in this collection is not fully known. The materials were transferred to the Guelph Public Library in 2012 from Guelph Civic Museum. It is believed the records were originally in the care of Georgina Lafontaine who acquired the material from her father in law.
Scope and content
Collection consists of instruction manuals for aiming and firing, map reading, elementary drills, and a work focusing on infantry section leading. Many of the manuals contain illustrations and diagrams. These materials were used by Guelph's auxiliary police force during the Second World War.
