Precise custodial information for most newsletters in this collection is unknown. In 2013 the archivist of the Guelph Public Library began assembling the various newsletters that were found throughout the Library and centralized their storage in the archives. These newsletters formed the basis of this collection. Newer donations of individual newsletters received by the archives are accessioned into this collection.

This collection consists of local Guelph newsletters created by various organizations and collected by the Guelph Public Library Archives. Included are the newsletters Arts in Guelph, the Sentinel and newsletters produced by the Guelph Historical Society. These records document the various activities and programs offered by local area organizations.
This collection has been arranged into fifteen series.
