Administrative history

Faith Pastoral Charge in Courtice was formed on January 1, 1997 with the amalgamation of Courtice United Church and St. Andrew's United Church in Oshawa. Harmony United Church in Oshawa would amalgamate with Faith on February 28, 2011 as Faith. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.

Courtice Pastoral Charge was formed in 1925, formerly Methodist; it included Courtice, Ebenezer Church in Darlington Township and Maple Grove. Ebenezer Church in Darlington Township and Maple Grove formed Ebenezer-Maple Grove Pastoral Charge in ca. 1966. Ebenezer United Church in Darlington Township was established in 1925, formerly Methodist. Courtice United Church was established in 1925, formerly Methodist
Oshawa Presbyterian Church was established in 1833; it was also known as St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. St. Andrew's United Church, Oshawa, was established in 1925, formerly Presbyterian; it amalgamated with Courtice United Church to form Faith United Church in 1996.
