        William Daum Euler (1875-1961) was mayor of Berlin, a federal politician, and the first Chancellor of Waterloo Lutheran University (now Wilfrid Laurier University) in Waterloo, Ontario. Euler was born in Waterloo County, Ontario. He was mayor of Berlin (Kitchener), Ontario from 1914 to 1917, and was president of the Kitchener Board of Trade in 1917. Euler was elected to the House of Commons for Waterloo North in 1917, 1921, 1925, 1926, 1930, and 1935. In 1935 he was appointed Minister of Trade and Commerce. Euler was summoned to the Senate in 1940. In May 1961 William Euler became the first Chancellor of Waterloo Lutheran University, a position he held until his death in July 1961.
