Emmanuel United Church, located at 224 Bennett Boulevard in Sault Ste. Marie, was established on March 20, 1952. A Sunday School had formed in October 1951 and had met at a local school. A new building was constructed on the south side of Highway 17E and dedicated on August 6, 1953. The church moved to a new location on the corner of Boundary Road and Bennett Boulevard on March 8, 1970.It was originally a part of the All People's Pastoral Charge, then ca. 1958, it formed part of a three-point charge with Bruce Hill and Grace United Churches. In 1964, it became its own single-point charge. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.

Fonds consists of records, including baptisms, 1952-1958, 1975, marriages, 1954-1976, and burials, 1954-1982, of Emmanuel United Church, Sault Ste. Marie (includes All People's Mission, Sault Ste. Marie), 1952-1989.
