Echo Place United Church was established in 1977, following the change of name of Elm Avenue United Church; it closed in 2009.
Elm Avenue United Church was established in 1925; formerly Methodist. In 1977, it changed its name to Echo Place United Church to prevent confusion with a street of the same name in the north end of Brantford. Elm Avenue Methodist Church was established in 1913 and a church was built in 1914; it joined the United Church of Canada in 1925.
