Series consists of four (4) military publications originally owned by Capt. Alfred Henry Clark Long as part of his training and deployment with "A" Company in the 46th Regiment, 136th Battalion, 1909-1916. It includes: "Regulations for the Clothing of the Canadian Militia, Part II," 1909; "Notes on Company Training 3rd Division"; "Tactical Notes"; "Canadian Expeditionary Force Units - Instructions for Governing Organization and Administration," 1916.

Series consists of two (2) cash books purchased and maintained by Alfred H.C. Long, c1899. The books track his expenses per month over a two-year period, including an extended stay in Toronto and Vancouver.

Series consists of land records, financial records, and correspondence related to the sale of John Cleverton's farm located on Lots 29 and 30 of Hamilton Township to Sarah Jane Long and Alfred H.C. Long, 1918-1926.

Series consists of advertising from Long Bros. Insurance Limited, 1957-1984. It includes: correspondence, newspaper clippings, and an insurance slip holder labelled "Long Bros. Insurance - Real Estate Dial 885-4501 Port Hope "Rather Than Go Short --- Call Long," undated.

Series consists of papers and certificates related to the membership of Thomas Long Sr. and Alfred Henry Clark Long in the Masonic Lodge, 1874-1937. It includes: certificates of membership and achievement within the Masonic Lodge and the International Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF); event invitations and programs; correspondence; receipts for dues paid; and newsletters.

Series consists of various legal and financial documents related to Alfred Henry Clark Long, Sarah Jane Long, Thomas Long Sr., and E.A. Long, 1897-1941. It includes: Land Deeds (for property in Hope Township and Hamilton Township); Tenancy and Rental Agreements (including Canadian National Realties Ltd.); Correspondence, and Letters of Recommendation re: A.H.C. Long; Invoices from C.E. Pillsworth Electrical Contractor, H. Martyn(?) Joiner, St. John's Church Cemetery Committee, The Guide Printing House, J. Marshall, A.W. Fisher painting and decorating, John C. Burtch Carpenter, G.A. Outram Hardware, and Thos. Garnett and Sons Contracting.

Series consists of the transcription of Cemetery Records for Perrytown Presbyterian Cemetery. Research was conducted by East Durham Historical Society, (now the Port Hope and District Historical Society). The record includes a history of the cemetery, followed my a map demonstrating the location of the graves. There is also a list of the deceased with the number of their plot as well as a description of information that is written on their stone.
