        History

        Duane Edward Anderson was born in Montreal, Quebec, on July 16th, 1949. Anderson has served as President of the Canadian Leather Alliance, Volunteer Coordinator of the Maple Leaf Party, and a Director with Mr. Leatherman Toronto Competition Inc. In 1989, Anderson was chosen the first Mr. Leather Fellowship Toronto at the first Mr. Leatherman Toronto competition. In 1992, he became the first Canadian to hold an international leather title, winning the Mr. NLA: International 1992-93. In 1993, Anderson was awarded the International Award from Pantheon of Leather for his contributions to the international leather community. Anderson has also served with the Toronto Pride Committee, the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT), and Casey House. Anderson died in 2015.
