The Department Heads and Senior Staff Committee was divided into three sub-groups covering patient care, research and education, and administration and support services. The committee’s function was to disseminate information.
The Department Heads and Senior Staff Committee met quarterly and reported to the President and CEO through the Board.
J.F. Law was chairman of the Department Heads and Senior Staff Committee from 1968-1974. Subsequent chairmen of the Department Heads and Senior Staff Committee were G. Hayley (1974-1979), J.E. Ratz (1979-1982), T. Warner (1989), W. Wilkinson (1990-1991), K. Williamson (1991-1992), W. Klassen (1992-1993), T. Murphy (1994-1995), and C. Williams (1994-1995).

Scope and content
Subseries consists of minutes from the Department Heads & Senior Staff Committee. The minutes comprised three separate binders, within which minutes were filed in reverse chronological order. Files have been arranged chronologically by date.
There is a gap in the records from 1983-1989.

Immediate source of acquisition
The files of the Department Heads & Senior Staff Committee (1968-1982) were transferred from the Office of the Administrator to the Archives August 27, 1997.
The files of the Department Heads & Senior Staff Committee (1989-1995) were transferred from the Office of the Secretary to the Board to the Archives February 11, 1998 and received by the Archives on April 7, 1998.
