History
Courtright - Sixth Line Pastoral Charge was formed in 1925, formerly known as Courtright Pastoral Charge. It included Courtright, Corunna and Sixth Line. It became a two-point charge ca. 1957 when Corunna left the charge to form a single-point charge. It is still an active pastoral charge.
Courtright United Church, located at 1540 Fourth St in Courtright, was established in 1925. The Courtright Wesleyan Methodist Church was established in 1872 and a church was constructed in 1873. It became part of the United Church of Canada in 1925. The church building was destroyed by fire on September 29, 20015. A new building was constructed in November 2008. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.
