This series contains predominantly incoming letters to Michael Lynch. Where copies were made by Lynch, it includes outgoing letters by the creator. The series includes correspondence with friends, family, colleagues, conferences, mailing lists, organizations, newsletters, universities/colleges, and journals. Where folders contained letters from just one individual or organization, they are labelled as such on the folder. Many folders contained no title and had no apparent individual or organization to whom they were addressed to, or were left unfiled in boxes. In such cases, these records were labelled “mixed correspondence” and organized by date.
