Copetown Pastoral Charge was formed in 1925, formerly Methodist; it included Rockton and Salem Church in Beverly Township. Ancaster Methodist New Connexion Circuit was formed ca. 1842, and included Copetown, Lynden, Harrisburg (now Vroomenia), Zion Church in Ancaster Township, Salem Church in Beverly Township, Cummin's Church in East Flamborough Township, Tuck's Chapel in Nelson Township, Dundas, Waterdown, Mount Tabor Church in Millgrove; it was discontinued when the Methodist Church of Canada was formed in 1874. Copetown Methodist Circuit was formed in 1884 as West Flamborough Circuit, and included Harrisburg (now Vroomenia), Salem Church in Beverly Township, Brock Road Church in West Flamborough Township, Mount Zion Church in Beverly Township, Lynden; it was discontinued in 1925 when the United Church was formed. Copetown Methodist Church was established ca. 1826 as a Wesleyan Methodist Church; it joined the United Church in 1925.
