        Cooksville United Church was established 1925, formerly Methodist. Cooksville Wesleyan Methodist Circuit was active from at least 1857, and included Port Credit, Sheridan, Lambton, Mimico, and Bethesda Church; it was discontinued in 1874 when the Methodist Church of Canada was formed. Cooksville Methodist Circuit was formed in 1874, and included Burnhamthorpe, Port Credit, Bethesda Church, Sheridan Springfield, Carman Church; it was discontinued in 1925 when the United Church was formed. Bethesda Methodist Church was established ca. 1864; it joined the United Church in 1925. Cooksville Methodist Church was established ca. 1844; it joined the United Church in 1925. Cooksville Pastoral Charge was formed in 1925, formerly Methodist; it included Sheridan, Brittannia, Meadowvale.
