These records were scheduled as CS303 Special Events Files in the Recreation and Culture (formerly Community Recreation) division of the Community Services Department. They were maintained in the Community Recreation division and then transferred to the City of Thunder Bay records centre for inactive storage as per their retention schedule.
Scope and content
This series contains records relating to the Thunder Bay/Duluth Friendship Games, including advisory committee minutes, correspondence, arrangement details, event schedules, media releases, newspaper clippings, photographs. Series also includes records relating to the Summer in the Parks event.
